Because Carly literally never lets him down, she always has faith in him and will never throw him under the bus like other people are now trying to. Carly comes first because Carly proves to be more steady and loyal than anyone else.

Jason's son is acting out that's cause he needs he's real dad to be with him & to talk about stuff with him . Carly knows that Jason only wants to help & protect he's family . Jason's eyes tells you that he has a big caring heart & lots of people keep viewing him as a cold blooded killer & but their way more to him than a killer .

Those episodes were painful to watch and it made Sam a completely unlikeable character.

One of my favorite things about this story is Carly’s maturation being on full display. She’s trying to honor the relationships she built with Sam and Drew when in the past she wouldn’t give a damn. Yes, Jason will always come first with her and she doesn’t deny that but Carly 5 years ago wouldn’t even let Drew or Sam get away with thinking Jason could be guilty and still care about them. She would have responded a lot differently.

its like this comment section forgot that Dante is the man Sam loves, she is NOT going to be rational right now. of course not only is Carly Jason's best friend, she is in the head space to be rational about who Jason would or wouldn't shoot, but Sam is losing her mind off the possibility that Dante might never wake up, so of course she's having a hard time processing, Jason being alive and the man she loved almost getting killed all in a span of like 2 days. I'm so tired of the constant vilification of Carly and Jason's relationship in recent years. Sonny never had a problem with it because he understood it on some level, yet when he got his memories back, it suddenly became a problem due to the writers who couldn't care less about accurate characterization. Quite frankly, Jason and Carly's relationship is one of the only things the writers have consistently gotten right, yet they're always trying to put an axe through it by making it seem like a bad thing or by turning it into something it's not. These writers clearly don’t understand their relationship. Please watch the old footage of their relationship to have an understanding of their foundation. Their loyalty to each other is justified. Unlike certain women on the show who have magically gotten a pass for all their wrongdoings, Carly was the town pariah and hated for years. Her only friend was Jason. Jason had her back even when she was wrong, even when she lost her mind, even when he disagreed with her, and even when everyone warned him against being her friend. Carly allowed Jason to be himself during a time when everyone was telling him who he needed to be. She gave him the space to discover himself and wholeheartedly believed in him. Of course, she knows him, and he knows her because they’ve had each other’s back for decades. Carly and Jason are not meant to be lovers. Their bond surpasses that need. The story of friendship can be as powerful as any other type of love story, and I'll be pissed if they try changing their dynamic again. They offer each other something that very few people get in life, and that’s full acceptance. It actually made sense when sonny had a problem with it though. The only reason why sonny was ok with Carly and Jason's whole relationship/friendship, is because he knew it was never gonna go anywhere. That jason would never be with Carly in a romantic way, regardless of how much Carly "loved" jason. He knew that jason would never be with Carly romantically, especially when Sonny was in the picture. Sonny started to have a problem with Jason and Carly when he realized they actually started to act on feelings for each other. He realized jason and carlys marriage meant more to them than just a business arrangement that they had to go through. That's when he had a problem with it. He never thought jason would act on those feelings for carly or be with her in that way ever again. Even when jason stepped back and let carly try to go back to sonny, Sonny knew that carly and Jason's feelings for each other weren't just gonna go away just like that. Especially, because at the time, he felt the same way about Nina.

Every woman he's been with, except for (maybe) Sam, liked the idea of him more than the reality, and worked to make him something he wasn't. And to be honest, I actually think if Jason lost his memory Carly would be devasted, but she would accept it. We got a glimpse of this when Billy Miller played Jason. BM's Jason was so different, and when he didn't behave the same way as Jason did previously, Carly accepted the changes and supported his decisions.

I may be wrong, but I think this is still the old writers story arc. The old head writers, Chris and Dan, are still listed in the opening credits along with additional writers. I would think once the new head writers storylines air, we will see their names listed first. In Jason's defense as to why his reunion with Michael was warmer... it's because Jason is not delusional about his absence in his children's life. I think he maintains a certain boundary because he doesn't want to be presumptious about how they may or may not feel about him. He's actually respecting where they're at with all this.

Danny gives Jason & Sam a story as it looks like he may be headed down a dark path, especially if he is starting to experiment w/ substances. This will also give Jake some good story too, as he is the only one aware of Danny's troubles(as far as I know?)

I think Kelly didn't like how the Miller situation was handled. Tbf, they did do him dirty. I felt the same way about Gina Tognoni, who had just won an Emmy for y&r, and then she was booted for Stafford. It's business, but both circumstances were harsh. There is also no quesion that Monaco & Miller had chemistry. And I would guess that she liked that Miller's version of Jason/Drew put Sam first. It probably gets tiring to play 2nd fiddle for years to the big 3(Jason/Carly/Sonny)..

Sam was never Jason's number 1 and that was the problem with their whole relationship. Their breakup was inevitable, I'm just surprised it took so long. The writers wanted a change, and I believe the actors wanted a change too.
