Huge shoutout to Brad. Handled himself so professionally in the face of massive adversity. Could have understandably been mad or upset and shown it, but instead, he held his head up high and showed incredible positivity. With so many kids and young adults watching this content, it sets such an amazing precedent on how to handle yourself when things don’t go well. Kudos Brad!

I want to express my (our) gratitude to you and Kyle for your professionalism and humble spirits that shine through in your videos. We started watching you immediately after we purchased our first ball. We have learned so much from both of you and thoroughly enjoy your approach to instruction for both the experienced and newly learning bowlers. You’re pleasant to watch and we look forward to every opportunity you give us to learn and simply enjoy your hard work. I’m sorry about your recent disappointment, but like many others have mentioned, it’s “going to happen”. Thanks so much to you and Kyle. You are a huge asset to the sport!!

I always hate when the tour decides to lock down the fields like this. The fact that there are about 80 bowlers from this event that will all have to compete for just 1-3 main field spots via the weekly PTQ, is back breaking for those non-exempt bowlers trying to earn their way onto the tour next season. They'll have to pay all the same expenses they normally do, while having the spots they are competing for weekly reduced by 80-90%. It's great for the guys with exemptions, but the PBA is keeping out so many talented guys now, who were able to compete before. It's a real shame. Hope they dump this exempt field nonsense sooner than later.
@BornIn15004 ай бұрын
Lets be real... out of those 80 bowlers, most of them won't travel for the weekly PTQ. The PTQ will get mostly regional guys who live closer that week's tour stop. That's not a bad thing.
@elex3004 ай бұрын
The PBA is their own worst enemy. Open up the field to grow the organization.
@deadpolymers34164 ай бұрын
@@BornIn1500 I was curious, so I went and looked at the PTQs in 2024. There were 5 events with a PTQ. In those 5 PTQs, there were 384 total entries, for 66 total spots. So 5 PTQs, with an average participation of 77 bowlers, and 13 spots into the main field. Now I'm not saying the 80 guys who didn't make it in, will travel to every PTQ. Just that the bowlers who attended the Trials are the ones who are talented enough, and dedicated enough to actually be out on tour. When you add in all the guys who didn't attend the Trials, the guys who are very talented, but only really show up when the tour stop is close enough to them on a specific week, you still got nearly 80 bowlers a week. With the new system, instead of there being 13 spots a week up for grabs, there may be none some weeks, and only a couple other weeks. The incentive for all those guys who missed the Tour Trials cut to go out every week there is a PTQ went from "at least possible", to "what's the point". A lot of the guys chasing that dream will see this as the last straw... and that's sad.
@atbsigma4 ай бұрын
@@elex300I understand how you feel, especially if you are trying to bowl PBA events also. But the time to be a PBA member easily has come and gone. Prior to and maybe a year after 2020, all you needed was a 200 average and money for your entry fee. You could pay your way into a national stop if you wanted. This was probably a way to bring prestige back to the game. Can’t just buy your way into bowling with the best in the world anymore.

I really liked that you believed in yourself and gave it your very best effort… awesome job! The only thing I would work on in your game Brad is generating just a little more ball speed. Thats it.. I would love to see you starting to work on that. This will help with those pesky 10 pins and those off hits everyone gets except you. Take this time away to build your strength while keeping your form. You have a very strong foundation so building speed will be the icing on the cake in your game. Let’s gets that PBA title!

15:47: Chris Sloan, after an open in the 7th frame of the last game, threw a 5 bagger for a 225 when everyone around was shooting 180s, 190s and 2 owes. He got the last spot in, 12th. From what I saw on social media, Frank Snodgrass needed a triple in the 10th to tie ( which would have meant a roll off I think??) but l left a 10 pin in the 11th to miss by 10 pins.

Brad: Everyone is a champion and a hero and is wonderful when he wins and is successful. It's when adversity comes, when you try and try but you just can't get over that hump; well, that's when we see the mettle of the person. You, my friend, held your head up high and did your very best. You didn't make excuses, you didn't put down the people who succeeded or blamed them for being lucky. You just did your best, and accepted that today that wasn't enough. So you will go back and try to improve and come back stronger. That's the only way that anyone can succeed. Huge kudos to you for being the tough s.o.b. that you are. I expect that you will win, and win a lot, in the future.
