She has a great voice- but that staccato style of singing does suck all the passion and soul out of the song. I've heard this tune done many ways- and this is a brilliant idea and the bass is amazing! But perhaps it is because she is not singing in her native language that she resorted to vocal acrobatics instead of interpreting the lyrics. In this case a little less- might have been more effective.
