That very sincere and very detailed info you've given there, in the video. It's all positive in a lot of ways cos I believe the whole system has been designed to allow Tier 2 skilled nurses to gradually 'warm up' to their new geographical environment and not be stressed with multiple jobs and/or other adventures that we are typically capable of exploiting than the average British. It's all gonna pass in 5 years when you'll eventually be 'set free' with right of indefinite stay, etc etc.

I spoke to my home manager that I can't keep up with this as it is too stressful for me and it has been reduced to 33hours per week. Please would this be a problem when I want to reapply for a visa renewal?

It shouldnt be a problem because the Home Office even says that if you will work for some one for more than 20hrs, they should get you a CoS and this is 33hrs. Therefore it should be ok

hi there what's the chance of getting ILR after 5 years of working I heard most of the nurses aren't getting approved for ILR
@DinaBarffo3 жыл бұрын
After working on Tier 2 visa for 5 years, you qualify for ILR. But during this 5 years period, you should not stay outside the UK for more than 180 days. So for example, if u wish to visit your family back home, or take a holiday anywhere outside the UK, u shouldn't stay there for more than 180 days. If u stay more than 180 days, you have gone against the rules so they might deny u ILR. Please ask the nurses who were denied and let's see the reasons why they were denied.

To the best of my knowledge, skilled workers are allowed to work 20 hours a week, aside their normal contracted hours. However, the 20 hours extra work u do should be a type of job that is in the same occupational code as your primary job. So as u work as a carer, ur extra hours should be a similar job. Hello Dear, Thank you for your video and efforts. I have query regarding additional work. I am on tier 2 visa. I have 48 hrs contract and I do some time 20 hrs overtime in same company, Also I have a additional second job where I do 20 hrs since last 4 months and in this job two weeks hrs been exceeded to extra 2 hrs. Just wondering will it be any problem for me in future? Thank you.
@DinaBarffo2 жыл бұрын
Since Covid time, they removed that 20 hours clause from overseas nurses, meaning now, u can do more than the 20 hours in the 2nd job. I asked a friend of mine and she said they've still not changed it so hopefully, it will not be a problem in the future when u go to apply for ur ILR. But I would just stick to 20 hours, u never know. Take it easy my dear. Do not overwork yourself

There is no restrictions to the hours you work with the company who have offered you COS, their extra hours can be unlimited. The restrictions are with another job, you can only do 20hrs per week for another job.

So which visa Is okay for a nurse with good benefits for you, spouse and child??
@DinaBarffo2 жыл бұрын
If u want to come to UK as a registered nurse, you can only come in Tier 2 Sponsorship visa and that doesn't allow u or your family to have access to public funds

a question, please: so I can work 40 hours/week + maximum 20 EXTRA hours?? or you mean I can work ONLY 20 hours during the whole week??
@DinaBarffo2 жыл бұрын
You are allowed to work extra 20 hours per week on top of your normal contracted hours. So for example if ur your permanent contract says u have to work 40 hours pee week, u can do extra 20 hours on top of the 40 hours.

Can sm1 with a 48 hrs weekly contract in a domiciliary care add up extra shift since I think the 48hrs is the maximum & is it even advisable to add up extra shifts with the 48hrs? Also how many days will the person with the 48hrs weekly contract be working please since you are already abreast with the system. Thank you

I have an offer Letter for a care home which says I'm not allowed to work elsewhere, if they find out, they will report me to the home office. In this case, can I still carry on to register with an agency for extra shifts?
@DinaBarffo3 жыл бұрын
As far as I am aware, you're allowed 20 hours extra work aside your regular contracted hours so it is not right at all for them to say that they'll report you to the home office. You need to challenge them and ask them "on what grounds can they report you to the home office". You can print out a copy of the Tier 2 policy and show it to them if they challenge you. Don't let them bully you at all my dear. You have every right to register with an agency. Whatever you do on your off days should not be of concern to them. Don't let them bully you dear.
