My first pedal was Distortion+ for $10 and had a broken pot smashed in, broken LED (and looked like it even had worse). I repaired it, gave it a lucky Yellow LED, loved it and passed it on to be my nephews very first pedal, its had a whole new life given to it.

My old Ibanez Fat Cat, purchased in 1988. My ancient Fuzz-Wah with "fire alarm" button. I can't recall the brand but it was old.

my original Morley Fuzz Wah from the 1970's. What a beast. And the Ibanez Digital Delay 1980's...

Ooof…that Morley hurts me. A true beast but totally has a cool factor and a great sound.

I still have my philosophers tone, fuzz factory and super duper. I wish I still had my silver Klon, My Ross Compressor….all of my original Silver Fulltone pedals (they were stolen) along with a tube echo-led. Also a solid state echoplex, I sent it to someone to repair and that person vanished. Great show….thanks

My first pedal was the original Maestro Fuzz Tone I bought it '74. lol...I'm 75. I used until the Rams head Muff came out. I bought pretty much one each of the MXR when they came out. Yes about 10 years ago I wish I kept them all. But ..when covid hit ...the lock down then the company I worked for folded I had a forced retirement with a nano pension. So I got creative and taught myself theory plus put in a minimum of 4 hours a day improve my technique. It all paid off I can shred with the best if need be. I can knock off clean accurate triplets at 220 bpm. My point is even many of my current pedals had to go. They did not have enough articulation. So the 'new' me does not miss the old pedals :-)

I only have one I regret trading, and it was my JHS-modded Bass Soul Food. I missed it so much, I bought a stock one a year or so later and did the same mod on it myself.
@SeanPierceJohnson
@SeanPierceJohnson Жыл бұрын
What’s the mod? I’m not familiar with what they do to it.
@skyviewdesign
@skyviewdesign Жыл бұрын
@@SeanPierceJohnson it was primarily just an input capacitor toggle to allow more bass frequencies into the circuit, and the other mod was a toggle that swapped the clipping diodes to a couple of Schottky diodes that were a bit smoother clipping. Mine was one of the first units modded before it was widely available to the public.
