The pill bugs are called Isopods. I'd recommend reading up on them because they actually are good for your soil and only eat decaying matter. They typically hate citrus and love the animal poop and love decaying leaves.

A lot of people use them in reptile habitats for that reason.. they help maintain the enclosures by eating poop and other stuff

Hi, isopod breeder here. Isopods will 100% eat live plants. They actually have a preference for proteins. Young tender plants are at most risk. The orange peels will keep them away long enough for plants to become established. Then they’ll move back in eating insect eggs and detritus.
@heidiweinert32607 ай бұрын
I do not know where the fallacy that they only eat decaying matter came from. I have seen them eating small sprouts and strawberries. Particularly when I have an egregious infestation.

I'm so in love with Twila, she's so pretty. And so is Duchess - I can't help but smile to see she's staying! I love Wynona's udder, to be honest. Maybe it's just the softness of it that gets me, but it's really nice looking to me. I know there will be a Reba daughter eventually, and I can't wait for her!! Happy with little Wednesday, too, River is a gorgeous little doe. And I'm really curious about Tilly's connections to the past goats, I guess I missed that part of her for all these years!

Those babies are so stinking cute! I'm reliving my dairy past through you and believe me I miss it so much. It's hard work and very tiring to hand milk four high producers by hand twice a day and hold down a full time job and raise three growing boys. It was totally worth it though and if I could go back I'd do it all again. Try to decide which babies to keep and which ones to let go is no easy task either. Always wanting to improve the genetics in the herd hard decisions have to be made.

You have to remember that Wynonna is named after a powerhouse singer! Lol. She's said to sound like a cross between Elvis and Patsy Cline! lol. Hey, I also thought about the watering of your garden. Irrigate some of the pond water to the garden. The fish waste in the water would maximize your garden. Maybe once weekly, irrigate some and see what happens-to see if you see a difference. Just a thought.

It is nice of you to keep educating the viewers! I have been involved in 4 H ( animals ) for 34 years, and I know several who will feed grain to their goats. Especially corn, it makes me sick for the goats, alpacas, and rabbits. Cause they are suffering from the grain ( fat ) that they put on. Thank you so much! There are a few that I would grow out to see the potential. However, I understand that you can not keep that many.
