Soft 17… I would not double down depending on how the cards are coming out. Why? Because 17 is already the lowest hand to stand on. And if I pulled a 5-9 it would make my hand worse…. If I pulled a 10 my hand would be the same… and I may have taken that 10 away from the dealer, who could have bust with that 10. Especially if they are showing a 4! This is just how I play! Because, if I make an action for the cards. Hit, double down, split, that is not blackjack. That is 21. So I get paid even money. Blackjack is only if your first two cards are an ace and 10
