just out of curiosity, what is the process from winning a futures to qualifying for a major.
@mbr12548 ай бұрын
@@TripAces Could be long, going through a couple tiers, or short, WC? Not likely but there's hope. I think he has to make it to ATP to possibly play in an Open. Correction: ITF and ATP are two separate but equal entities with some intermingling at the upper levels? Karue is likely testing himself at the moment. At some point in the future, we'd probably see him in the ATP tournaments. Basically, he's rebuilding his portfolio to show the interviewer, the body that determines whether or not he plays in an ATP1000 or Open, that he can play at that level. Plenty of work. Edit: clarification and additional information.

OK, on his serve I think this Tristan gets his elbow too high with the racket head still laid off, then he pinpoints with the elbow hitching down which breaks his flow... all of which impairs consistency. For pinpoint serves, take a look at Kyrgios, Serena, and Wawrinka. Kyrgios and Serena keep right elbow low, hinge early to get racket tip up. Wawrinka does get his elbow high, but he gets the racket tip up much earlier than Tristan and also doesn't hitch it down (keeps it high to maintain flow). That's my two cents... for free ;-)

And forehands where good too, only backhand had suffered. This is not the first time I come back after a break than I was before. Any explanation anyone? My only explanation is that during break I forgot the bad habits and kind of start from "beginning" remembering what you should do and bad habits has been removed from neuromuscular memory. I dont know if this makes sense but that only solution I can think of.

Awesome Karue. Big fan here. A couple things I noticed. Your level is steadily increasing on UTR. You beat Connor, who is a UTR 14.12, and your last 30 matches are 26/4, which is pretty amazing. If we look at the fitness aspect, I think it's fair to assess that your physicality is allowing you to either get to some balls you might not have before, or get to other shots that where you might have been late and had less options, now you are getting to them in time to hit back with quality. This makes such a huge difference. Because of that, I think there's every chance that the level you played at to beat Connor, isn't a one-off, but probably more of a base level, that you can actually springboard off. No pressure then! 😁 Seriously though, I'm loving what I'm seeing. Another thing, and this may be me just picking at things, but I thought early in the match I was starting to read your serves from the far end. When you toss the ball out to your right, you're hitting the wide serve to the deuce court. Please re-watch this to see for yourself, and then address. Better players will pick this up and be ready to return with interest. Not that this matters, but looking at the UTR's of ATP players, if I assess your UTR to be roughly 14.5 at the moment, then that shows a few interesting things: #401 13.84 Jay Clarke #350 13.89 Kaichi Uchida #300 14.15 Michael Vrbenský #250 14.06 Antoine Bellier #200 14.18 Santiago Rodríguez Taverna #150 14.44 Hugo Grenier #102 14.56 Federico Coria Your own highest ranking was #371, and I think your UTR was 15.x. What all of this tells me, is that you're playing some of the best tennis of your life, and you have the serious possibility to rank higher than your previous ATP ranking. This might be where it needs a bit of luck with draws, etc. What's interesting, is that the current #371 (Christian Langmo), has a UTR of 13.70, which you're already exceeding, given that on paper today you're listed as a 13.84. Christian has 131 ATP points. If you just keep doing what you're doing, you'll collect the points, and get up there. Aside from that technical bumpf, I'm really loving what I'm seeing, and wish you all the best. Climb that ranking! I genuinely see you as a top 100 player, and would love to see it happen.

Just wanted to update this; Karue is now a 14.02 UTR, and TRENDING at 14.13, and in an upwards direction. It's not that hard to imagine that the LEVEL Karue is playing at is roughly at a #200 in the world based on my previous blurb: #401 13.84 Jay Clarke #350 13.89 Kaichi Uchida #300 14.15 Michael Vrbenský #250 14.06 Antoine Bellier #200 14.18 Santiago Rodríguez Taverna #150 14.44 Hugo Grenier #102 14.56 Federico Coria If Karue can continue with his fitness, and bed this down as a "normal" aspect to his level, it really does mean good things are coming. He has already jumped about 50 places in the last month or so on the leaderboard (which means nothing, but is a reflection of his level, which means everything). Keep going Karue!

At least from what I saw during the 1st Set, your opponent having this injury was likely looking to overcompensate & hit bigger serves to force free points. Moreso on return of serve as well. Though, once he saw you breaking his Serve while maintaining that consistent high level burst. He decided it wasn't worth going to 3 Sets, aggrevate his foot injury & not continue in Pro Tourneys for a time. Had he won the 1st Set & his overcompensation paid off, the gas pedal might have been pressed a bit harder to shut down Set 2 very quickly. So, amazing job in being able to shut down his aggressive (albeit I'm going to assume more than normal) Tennis Game!! Overall great play on your part! Great win & I want to see more of this broski. Other comments are stating it already, but this is some solid level tennis & I believe like them, you'll get up there & rack up the ATP Points.
