I WON Rare Pokemon Cards From Goodwill!

One time at Salvation Army (3 years ago) they had a vintage Pokémon binder behind the counter for $20 I asked to see it and I open it up and first page had base set zard, base set blastoise, 2 base set venasaurs all in great condition. And a shining gyarados. Along with a bunch of other vintage cards. Never paid for something so fast

EX series so much nostalgia for me. It’s the set I grew up with but didn’t know. When I was a kid I grew up with no wifi so anytime I would go to the store I knew nothing about sets , what cards are in the sets or anything. I just saw Pokemon cards and wanting to open packs.

I think I know what you mean... I remember opening up packs and always wondering in my head, "where is the charizard or blastoise... or whatever?" I never knew what I was opening or getting into. I don't even think I thought about sets at all and thought every Pokemon could be there.

I had a buddy actually they were twins I grew up with that didn’t have Wi-Fi or cable until like 2014 when we were in our 20s , so i get your pain because I remember them being in awww when we would watch tv lol

Just a note from someone who's actively looked at Goodwills online auctions for a few years now, it's not worth the time. 99% of the people bidding are older people who see anything labeled Pokemon and assume it's worth at least $1,000. The bid amounts are absolutely insane on nearly every item. Even bulk card lots end up selling for hundreds, and are filled with nothing but $0.01 cards. I've never found an auction that ended at a price lower than what I could have just bought the same products/cards on Ebay for. But hey, always a chance I guess. Just a heads up, it's pretty bad most of the time lol.

I've gotten really lucky years ago and but now prices are insane and the pictures the include are so low res and hard to gauge what you will get and in what condition. Combine that with the absurd bidding and it's generally a bad idea to buy from goodwill online auctions for cards.

I’ve witnessed these Neckbeard Karen’s at flea market’s, trade shows’, and Goodwill. You have your bearded vendor Karens that sell vintage clocks & doll accessories who came across an unlimited sword and shield booster box “worth thousands” in the wild amongst your customer with a brutal goatee Karen, clutching her ALDO purse with $17 in it that just has to let you know Pokémon products these days are so expensive!🤣

I watch your videos because you get excited about the cards you get like I do when I find coins in rolls, or out in a coin return that might be rare or interesting. I definitely love that you took one of my favorite video conceptions (the mystery buys) and tried it through a different site. Was a nice change to the eBay norm of mystery boxes. I always pop into my local thrift stores & check the glass cases. A couple years ago I actually found a Yugioh collection in a PLASTIC BAG for $50😂 had unlimited starter decks for yugi and kaiba, then a binder literally full of unlimited sdk blue eyes. They were all played but I still grabbed it. The sealed decks actually shot up in value

A couple years back I bidded on a 4 pound lot of Pokémon cards on goodwill. Paid 6$ when I received it of course a bunch of random bulk. But in the middle of them all was a near complete base set,jungle, and fossil holo collection. Safe to say goodwill can have gems.

Shop Goodwill's pretty good when looking for cards. We got some a mystery box of nothing but Base, Fossil, and Jungle cards. Was almost all commons and uncommons, but after losing all my cards, wasn't disappointed.

I've been doin the Goodwill cards for few years now and have won quite a few amazing bundles pokemon, sports, won a sport card bundle and found an entire 1986 fleer basketball set with Jordan rookie in it, only paid 83$😁

I bought that Venusaur tin online last year for 20 bucks. The crazy thing about the tins, is that they re-release them with newer packs with the older promo card. I just bought the Jolteon/vaporeon/flareon tins and only 1 actually had the original SM packs, the rest had early SWSH

So Pokémon is now part of my sons life. He open the price books at school and got a Pokémon card kept in this backpack. Then got another trip to the prize box at school Bam another Pokémon card. After showing it to a friend a friend told him about what he had. My son then came home without a Pokémon card and said Dad this is a Pokémon card. I was surprised when I saw the packs in the venusaur tin. When I opened it as a kid I had 2 black and white packs in it and remember getting a Jirachi from Legendary Treasures. Good memories

Full Art Yveltal, Xerneas, & Emolga in XY Base too. That tin was repackaged as well The original packs were 2 XY Base, Legendary Treasures, & Plasma Blast.

I don’t understand why everyone is so quick to scream reseal or repackaged. It didn’t show any signs of being, and they used the tin for two releases. The one you speak of is the 2014 release. They also did one in fall 2016 which has the pack lineup he opened. It also lines up because of the fact he had 3 xy blisters also so it’s more in line with 2016.
