Sadiqa Madadgar (@SadiQaMadadgar) was a contestant on “Afghan Star.” Seema Rezai was a member of Afghanistan's national boxing team. They are part of a select group of young women who were fortunate enough to find success in Kabul, Afghanistan. When the Taliban took the city, their dreams were shattered. It was the best move...could've been executed better, but the best move nonetheless. One thing I don't understand is the woman that thought Afghanistan would never regress. I can tell you that with my limited knowledge on Afghanistan overall, but as someone who served in the US military in Afghanistan, we all knew that the second we left, the Taliban would take over. When I was there as recently as 2019, the Taliban already held almost the entire country. Kabul was (and I'm sure still is) an extremely dangerous city, though, along with a few other cities, was technically not owned by the Taliban. Again, from my very limited view and knowledge of the big picture, me and all of my friends knew that the second we left, it was all over. I'm not sure how an Afghan citizen would not have seen this coming.

Our family run away from communism, many decades ago many people in Eastern Europe never thought we’d ever see freedom again, never thought that wall would ever break down, but it can happen. It was a result of everyone all the people working praying sacrificing together we stand up together for our people and that’s what she and all the young afghans need to do they all need to stand up together and fight and defend their country. It has been done before, and you can do it too. Follow the example of others who have come before you in Eastern Europe and throughout the world who stood up to oppressive governments. It’s not a fight you will win overnight, but in time. Remember, God with holds himself from no one who perseveres. Stay strong in your Faith. Many Christians like myself are holding all of you up in our prayers. God bless.

For any Westerners the reason why the women can't sing anymore as a career is because in Islam a woman's voice is "'awrah". Or mildly forbidden(haram) because men may be tempted by it.

It is now up to the Taliban to live up to their claims that they have changed, my thought is that if the Taliban want to rule so much they should be happy to do so without suckling the 'breast' of western good will, they should ONLY be given our foreign aid once we see that they are able to install a benevolent governance that ensures people's civil rights, freedoms and progressive thinking. 🙏🏻

I’m not defending terorism. It’s just so click when you mention US and Occupation. Especially when the media from the country involved. It’s difficult to differ which one is the evil organization that try to occupy Afghanistan. Does the Taliban Now and before the same? It’s in the middle of revolution of course there are great possibilities that every human being in Afghanistan are vulnerable. Only people in Afghanistan knew what it feels like living under threat. Hope they are freed from evil propaganda and evil occupation efforts from other country and organisation

People hate to live by the doctrine of old testament and new testament or any other heavenly books ...I mean we can love God but not his rules and conditions . That's strange .. By the way , the above traits are sign of hypocrites , rebellious and criminals in the eyes of God even though we claim superficially that we love God . It's like loving your country but not following the constitution of country and rejecting it . What happens then if you do it , Government puts you in jail for breaking the rules of constitution. That is about man made laws....how about the constitution revealed in heaven like gospel and we break it everyday but we still claim to love God at the peak of our hypocrisy. We all love to live but hate to die . We believe in this life but don't believe in the hereafter. We love watching movies and songs but hate to read bible , Quran . We love to research about our profession but never research about religion to find the true path. I will die and you will die , we will sure find out promised with God . So wait as I am waiting.

Most of Afghanistan is very poor, true. But ordinary Afghan women, judging from interviews with refugees as well as those who stayed in Herat and Kandahar, worry about peace and security, about food prices and inflation, the lack of jobs. One woman fled from Kabul with her granddaughter. Her daughter in law was killed in the 2020 terrorist attack on a maternity hospital. The newborn baby survived. A son died in a blast in the market. This woman fears more attacks on her community (she is Hazara)abd fled to Spin Boldak (the crossing to Quetta, Pakistan), trying to get to Pakistan. Another woman in Kunduz said that the rich can afford to leave, the poor can't. Or the poor leave on foot to another part of Afghanistan when there was drought such as in 2018, or too many bombs. These internal refugees depended on international aid. Most of the foreign staff and local staff have fled. One (Serbian) doctor in Kandahar who has lived through civil war in the Balkans says he is staying but fears this period is the calm before the storm.

Your life is your profession and you will die with it unless God wills something else for you all . It's not about country or nation or being patriotism , it's about your profession and it's meaningless for you to stay in country if you can not do what you want. Your profession and your own whims and desires outweighs your love for country , religion , Deen , your family , your values , your culture , your traditions .. . Go and stay anywhere in the world where you can do all this stuffs . I heard prostitute complaining about her profession as well in Kabul ...as there is hardly any customer . You all will have to find another place in the world 😄....I guess your masters will take you back if they are hearing you. But your masters are dumb and blind , they have eyes but can't see.. but it's not the eyes that are blind , but it's heart can not perceive it.

@Tina Marie I completely sympathize with your situation. I’m so sorry to hear that you have had to go through those experiences, it’s not right. The working class in this country is massively underserved and everyone deserves to make a living wage. However, it’s not the Afghan people’s fault that they’re in the situation they’re in. They deserve a chance at a better life, just like you do. This country definitely needs to help Americans, especially the working class, I’m not debating that. But this country started as a country of immigrants and that’s a beautiful thing that we continue to be that way. I really hope that your situation improves. I will be thinking about you and sending good vibes your way. 🙂
