As a pet store worker I can say we loathe the carnivals that give out live animals since everyone comes to us after for help and they never have the animal’s best interest in mind! Those tiny goldfish will live 20 or 30+ years if you give them the time and space, they’re seriously some of the most time consuming fish to own- I’ve seen bettas as prizes, which are a little less cruel to the animal since they won’t have their growth stunted in a small tank and aren’t nearly as dirty, but they still usually end up in a vase or bowl, unfortunately. I’ll stick to the non-living prizes!

Those baskets were definitely set higher than 10'. You're more likely to win if you don't play basketball on a regular basis because you're not conditioned to aim for a 10' hoop.

Your son must have taken good care of it. Goldfish can live for a really long time if they're cared for correctly and have the right size aquarium and the proper equipment. They can get pretty big too

So I'm gonna Say this, that's me on basketball Noooo Games are not rigged, they extremely hard Yes that's the point, Also for example basketball says non regulation, and is 11ft Yes the rims are oval but again that's not what makes it hard, It's because the rim is stationary it has no give so you must Swish it I have seen a few bank shots, but it's a swish that matters...We are not allowed to rig Games there is a board Yes a Board of people who will pay for people to check our games if we cheat, or lie, or don't explain the game properly..It will shut that joint down, and there goes thousands in Revenue, and still have to pay lot rent where your game stands...These aren't rigged, they're Hard so when you beat it feel good about it. Matt thanks for coming out again, and keep going strong.

I;m really good at those types of games, not gold fishin tho. I've won two fish playing those games. One of them died because it was in there the whole time we were at the fair in the 95 degree weather, poor fish died when i woke up the next morning.

Are they seriously still giving away live goldfish? I've always thought that they should give out goldfish crackers &/or small stuffies, resin keychains etc instead. But for nostalgia maybe have a proper tank of fish that are display only. For a grand prize they could give out one of those plastic swimming fish toys.

You were talking about bottle holders for the ring toss, you can use 2&3/4 or 3 inch diameter pipe cut into 3 inch long pieces glued to 3 inch wide sealed plywood strips.

Our county fair was the last before the carnival company packed up and headed to the state fair. They couldn’t bring the fish so they here packing them in groups of 20 and just handing them to kids. Thankfully my son knew better, but his friend took a bag.

The bottle up game is nearly impossible from where you are standing Matt but I absolutely love watching these videos. We don’t have any carnivals like these in the Uk which is probably a good thing because I’d be bankrupt 😂😂. I know I’ve mentioned this before but I really do love the way you interact with your fans. In all honesty, you are always extremely polite and courteous with everyone you meet and you make me forget my worries and brighten my day with your friendly and positive attitude. A real credit to your parents. I still get my 30 something Son something that he can play with for every Christmas and Birthday. He got the floating light up football last Christmas and he’s sent me many videos of him playing with them. Never grow up… believe me it’s sooo overrated 😜
