I am a fan of my d3crx. Owned it since 2017-18. Only humid environment usage, low crawled in mud, neck deep in swamp water, but never was a fan of the 4 m203 shell holders on front. too mission specific. I’d much rather have a horizontal gp pouch. Add wings to d3crx to hold nalgene bottle and opposite wing, limitless set-up options. The material and build quality of Haley’s gear is outstanding. On that note I am a bigger fan of d3cr heavy, mainly for the sewn in GP pouches.

I own & use both of Haley Strategics' chest rigs (the 7.62 & 5.56), both with their flat-pack-plus [backpack], with a hanger out front to put random stuff in. I've had the 5.56 setup for a few years now, & only just got the 7.62 magazine version back in October of 2024, so I'm still somewhat new to that rig. They're the only two rigs I own, but I had absolutely no complaints with their standard 5.56 rig, so once I bought my first 7.62 rifle, I knew I wanted to get their chest rig to pair with it. I take them to the outdoor range every time I shoot, that's the only place I train with them - the outdoor range. I'd recommend either rig without any hesitation: price is good, especially considering their build quality

I Honestly think that rig is more for policemen than soldiers.

I also prefer sewn rigs. I have a Heavy Rig from HSP, and I love it. The mini is a great rig, but I prefer more mags.

Why not add a dangler pouch. Does the trex fit everything you mentioned? I have used, the micro, DC3rx and the heavy in classes and not had an issue. I now use the Haley micro with the Spiritus Thing 2 and Lunar Concepts HX harness. This setup lets you add additional pouches and dangler plus slick enough in the back from small assault pack.

No experience with the d3crx but I have the heavy rig and like it alot it's low pro and had almost everything I need right on the rig and doubles as a placard I love that. Thanks for the video brother!

I get that you want everything sewn in, but unless you find something you really like, you may have to settle for modular. I’m running two triple m4 pouches and 3 double m4 pouches all with Velcro flaps and a small dangler for admin items. I use the triple mag pouches as GP pouches, they are usually holding 1 liter Nalgenes. My use case is very different from yours.

I have no idea why you would need 4 pistol mag pouches and 2 gp pouches that are too small. On the front of the rig. I sold mine and have been on the chest rig journey. Current rig is the saw rig from sewjourn gear. Really well built and just what I need. Made in the United States.

designed to carry m203 rounds. many use those to carry multitool, folding knife and a pistol mag or two.
