@@Pete-jw2ju Twilight Zone draws inspiration from real life like many stories do. Same with this creepy pasta. When the government wants to cover something up they find a way too. For example, The Roswell incident was “mass hysteria” yet everything from that night remains classified to this day. Yet media to this day including history books uses an official story, most details from the 9/11 reports are missing. Cover ups happen all the time hence how the twilight zone and internet writers are inspired for stories like this.

it's interesting how, even though this author's stories seem to most take place in a shared universe, they've recently shifted to a different region of the US; instead of all being set in Minnesota or elsewhere in the Upper Midwest, they recently seem to mostly be set in West Virginia instead, like this one, the "Red Piper Bird" story that is referenced in this one, or the "West Virginia Scarf People".

I spent most of my life in wv,southern part . I loved going canoeing on the greenbriar river. You're right about the hills and hollers lol...if you go hiking and aren't careful you might not get out! Myths and wives tales are based on truth and had to start from something. I miss the wonderful hills and life in Wv. I've been in Florida since 2000 and only able to go back twice. I'm 68 now and hope I can get back there 1 more time 😊😊😊

Some narrators simply read with the same monotone voice. Ive listened to LH for a while. Mr Creepy Pasta and Jordan Grupe. They keep you interested with their voice changes for each character. I think Letter To The Landlord has to be the funniest narrated by MCP. I found Jordan Grupe on this channel or MCP. These are about the only 3 I listen to

A few years ago my brother & his family were RVing at the beach in S. CALIF. He told me there were some were sone very odd happenings the night before, & curious, he went to ask a couple of guys in a nearby Big Rig, that pulled in late that night. There reply made him grab up his family & move on down the road within10 minutes. What the guy said was, "It would be better for you, & your family, Mr. Smith, if you just forgot about last night." In case you didn't catch it, they knew my brother's name. Yeah... Time to go.

I had a blue sunflower sitting in the vase on the window sill not too long ago. It's dead and gone now though, but I really did like it. Blue is my favorite color, and the little blue sunflower was really the only sunflower that I actually liked to look at rather than just getting seeds to eat. It was really cool. All it takes to get one is a little bit of genetic engineering.

Also it might have to be a certain type of die that can be absorbed by the flower through it's roots. (Addition): Usually you can use bacterial cultures to get the desired traits and introduce it to the embryo in the seed to pick up the genetic changes.

That was a pretty good story actually. Kept it brief. The details light. Lets the reader fill in the blanks. I like that. Terror comes from our own minds and what someone finds scary someone else might not so keeping the description light helps that. Not sure it needed the creature getting into the station. That just kind of came out of nowhere and didnt make much sense to me, though i agree the protagonist needed some visual contact at least with them to make them seem real. Maybe seeing it from a distance? Skulking around in the shadows? or blurry footage from something recorded from ground zero like a home movie or a gun or badge cam from a first responder like a policeman or soldier would have kept the distance and the intrigue a bit better. You could have had a field hospital dealing with the gory aftermath to bring it home how deadly these things are. But i liked that one!!

22:00 This is why I hate stories about government cover ups. At this point the least panic inducing thing to cover the events of the Violet folder would be an Alien invasion. All other options, large scale terrorist attck, hostile military strike, or roge bioweapons has the potential to pluge the world into WAR. A news network reporting on the supernatural would have the LEAST impact. Not to mention any real news room would have had cameras on that man cuffing a reporter at the start.

Most people would resist yeah, until the tough and military trained guards pulled their pistols and threatened to open fire on you. At that point, most people are giving up their phones. The frustrating thing about this story is those types of events happen all the time, especially when the government is concerned. Land grabs, eminent domain, etc Brute force and coercion over explanation and cooperation. It usually gets the job done, but not without stomped toes and bruised egos (and people)

@@kentworch And no one really argues about who is better, how the author could have made this and that - most ask for more and that's it ! You can go through the comments and not find people arguing aggressively about small details. That alone is so relaxing. Like a *real* safe zone to come to and and be excited, together,after a stressful day or whatever you need a break from. That's really almost unimaginable .
