I did like Pyrocynical's take. The video is almost good. The only bad parts were some unnecessary ad hominem statements like Jimmy "being a sellout and surrounding himself with yes men", the CGI stuff which wasn't a big deal, the Reddit and KZbin comments stuff without context, and the livestream copyright claim stuff that didn't really have evidence behind it.

I have problem with labeling loli as CP, this downplays the actual damage real CP does to the child victims. i initially got into mrbeast 8 years ago because i saw some funny memes on a different channel of him blowing up microwaves by putting viewer suggested objects into them...now it seems he's one of many examples (especially on youtube) of something that got too big for it's own good and (sometimes) didn't care for consequences along the way, even if his example is one of the rarer ones that did some actual good along the way, bad deeds are still bad deeds, and as of current it seems to be catching up to him in the form of that beast games disaster and that dug up discord stuff, depressing to see all within a week's time but after all the everything i can't feel bad for him either :(, great video though :)

I see this take a lot and it’s not fully correct. HR is there to protect the company. Protecting the company involves protecting them from lawsuits and EEOC investigations. Protecting a company from lawsuits involves protecting employees from discrimination, harassment, and other illegal behavior. When an employee is experiencing harassment, discrimination, or hostile work environment based on their membership in a protected class, and HR does nothing, they can report it to the EEOC. Those fines are massive and the complainant often receives a payout too.

Heart of hearts, whatever else may be true, I do not believe that in this world you can work honestly and reach the point of being a millionaire (or just wealthy in general) by being truly virtuous. You can be a good person as not all wealthy people are completely evil (just the really wealthy ones) but you will need to "play ball" if you want to have any degree of actual success. Any virtues you have will be sanded down and polished to dust by the time you can be called truly "rich." So him being shady is not surprising. The truly repulsive thing about Jimmy as far as I am concerned was that he was just using people and situations to make himself look good. He wasn't caught on camera being a nice person, he filmed himself to be that, framing everything how he wanted it. Taking advantage of people in need to put himself in a good light is just icky gross, even if the people themselves were fine with being used as props. Even if those people did get something out of it, I can't like someone who so easily offers to help others as long as he gets something out of it and at the same time frames himself as a charitable saint who can do no wrong. The one time I thought the dude was actually pretty decent was when he defended his trans friend against all the grifters online because that didn't have a transaction of any kind attached to it, it was just a friend looking out for another friend, and look where the fuck that led to. You just cannot win with this guy. Maybe he didn't cut Ava Kris Tyson off back then because he was afraid she was going to spill the beans, maybe he didn't have her sign the good NDAs yet and had to keep her around. Hard to give the benefit of the doubt now that he and his team are going around trying to strike, delete, remove and C&D everything on the internet that could be harmful to the brand. Can't imagine what would've come out back then. Transactions, transactions... everything's a transaction with this guy.

Regarding the video itself. I think people need to stop acting as if people, Mr Beast or otherwise, is so sort of God's gift to earth. These are people, people with flaws, and people who make mistakes, who make bad decisions and who can fuck up. Honestly, the fact that Mr.Beast's videos are staged isn't really surprising. After all, Jimmy works with his crew as an entertainer, so them setting things up to up the entertainment value is the same as reality TV shows. But the fact that many of Jimmy's videos are contests for people to actually win something out of... Here's where many issues start to pile up. In contest-like TV shows, it's illegal for the creators of the show to influence the outcome of the game, aka. rig the game in ones favour. You can't put in paid non-contestants to fight alongside actual contestants. You can't offer a single person a reward to screw others in a team based competition. In TV, you, as a show creator, have to ensure that everyone taking part have to have equal chances of winning, so I don't see why Jimmy and his crew should be allowed to break those rules.

I've never really watched Mr.Beast or liked him, not that I disliked him. I genuinely have no opinion of him, my only opinions of Mr.Beast come from back during the Pewdiepie vs T-Series when Pewdiepie said he'd give the #1 most subscribed channel-title to Mr.Beast if it was his choice. However I've always found it extremely manipulative in nature how all of his videos surround throwing thousands of dollars at "random" people for completing wacky-challenges. To me they seemed like those dumb mobile-game ads with the bad scripting. There's always something off when you see it, if you know, you know.

Ok, I only just started watching, and twenty minutes into the reaction the only thing I can say (excluding that whole thing about Kris cause that's the first time I hear about the situation) about this guy's video is... So what? I hope it gets more spicy as it goes, but so far he just talks about some small things that are just used for normal marketing stuff

I would like to point out, yes, he does do some stuff that's... honestly not that great. But while he want's to put all this stuff out there, most of this is not new information. Also, fun fact about the dude that made this video, he only worked for them for like, a month, and was fired for some reason, I forget what, but did was not a good person either, and he was not working there for a lot of the time he 'claimed' he worked there for. Jimmy is not some innocent person, yes, some of the stuff is staged, yes, some of his 'giveaways' are rigged to a certain extent, but in the end, he still does a massive amount of charity work. His videos are only staged to an extent, there's usually some level of script to follow but a lot of them also have a lot of imprompt expected of everyone. This video is, while partly true, also has a lot wrong, or is nothing new and nothing really career ending, and if people think that this is bad despite all the actual charity work he does, the don't understand that it's not possible to keep the channel as profitable as it is so that he can actually do the charity work he does, or make the videos as crazy as they are.

He's pulling shit out of his ass based on rumors most of the time, or twisting laws around to make Jimmy seem like he's doing illegal stuff because he's assuming most people (Like you) won't actually go read and check said laws. Honestly as someone who doesn't watch MrBeast my responses is "So What?" Should you cancel magicians for tricking their audience? Should American Wrestling be shut down for being totally fake drama? MrBeast is providing entertainment first and foremost. Like most entertainment the illusion is what matters not the reality. Not going to hate him for that. He must be very good at his job being as successful as he's been. So does it matter if he really camped on the deck of a boat in raging storms? No, not really. Most people expect reality TV to be fake. Why should YT reality TV be any different? 😂

Quite simple, really. Mr Beast has built a very good public image which bought him almost unlimited trust from his viewers, he has support of other KZbinrs with whom he established business relations and subtle enough at his schemes, so unless you have gone with a massive Zilla-esque investigation and know everything from inside - the chances you will influence anything or even be taken seriously are close to zero.

Yall hating him because he has a trans friend, but don't even touch his dodgy youtuber contests. This is probably why a lot of it didn't come forward until now when people will just dismiss him for being a childrens entertainer on youtube or come up with dumb stuff to complain about. If the guy wants to make money with spectacle or charity work that really should be handled by governments, that's all fine, he could do a better job raising awareness but there are bigger problems with society than a rich guy finally got attention for digging wells. Buuut it's that child audience seeing him give out cash rewards to his friends and not running a legit competition (everyone fakes content in reality TV, that's why it's mindrotting), and people think they could be on these games or be friends with him if they donate enough, now it's getting scummy. And the sad thing is, this is just youtube for a lot of people, begging for subscriptions and rewards that may not show, just trying to get people to watch no matter how outrageous it has to be. Mr. Beast can do what he wants but there are now bigger problems from him setting the bar so high above like Pewdiepie plays Minecraft or makes his own content, even reacting to viral stuff, people have to go out and do something in person and get locals to notice, and it gets very toxic when it's so popular.
