I liked the playfulness of Klaus with Caroline but this relationship is SO BEAUTIFUL. It's what Klaus truly needs in order to be a good person for Hope. He needs someone to love him as no one has before, and he has shown that he is attracted to Camille and does care for her. We hear the romantic sides of it from his siblings and see it from him. It's just beautiful and growing and I hope with all my heart that it continues to do so. Klaus is my favorite character in the TVD TO series' and I love seeing the gentleness of him around Hope and Camille. Klaus with Caroline was a teenage dream but this is a more mature happily ever after.

Michelle Toren the show runners obviously made her character with him in mind... it’s set up from day one, everything about her character is what was needed to make him evolve... she’s strong willed caring intelligent and is a fucking badass... she’s also a romantic and Klaus has always been the most romantic cock ever lol... I thought her own story line about having a twin brother hexed by the witch, and the O'Connell long-standing history in the human factions is pretty damn interesting, and they can develop that without having to concern Klaus. Klaus just stays her devoted bf...hubby, and she can manage human factions with dark objects, protecting Hope or whatever with the M siblings & Hayley. Actually, I was rooting for HOPE to be the biggest ultimate villain in the final season. I thought that's the direction they would go to, from Klaus talk to with Dahlia. That would be epic. But alas, with "Legacies" in mind, they couldn't go there. After all, just a TV show that leaves a lot to be desired. Just saying. Im only here for Klaus & Camille. One of the few things that stick after the show ended.

Myrtle Mumian personally, I loved Hope in the final season. She turned into a flawed character with tons of very obvious daddy issues and was the reason her mother died. That’s fun stuff. Anyways, my main problem with Cammie comes down to how I don’t feel she got any meaningful screentime in season two outside of her being klaus’s main romantic interest. She’s just kinda... there *for* him in that season. But that’s kinda just a problem with the season two writing overall. Definitely the weakest of the first three seasons imo. Either way, season one gave Cammie an interesting and compelling story arc. I just feel like season two didn’t give her anything interesting. Sure she’s discovering her family lineage and developing her own agency but that just... is not important to the over all narrative. Especially since most of it was done in season 1. Season three was the season that made her feel like she had actual depth beyond being Klaus’s personal therapist. She had agency on her own and spiraled down into a deep deep pit of paranoia becoming an antagonistic foil for Klaus in many ways due to her inability to deal with the cards she’d been dealt.

@@HolyF4gg8 Here's what im thinking: 1) If ppl insist on Cami being built solely as Klaus' romantic interest, then why they use THAT as an excuse for hating Cami? I mean, what do they want? if they being fanatic shippers are rooting for a romantic story, then isn't slow steady growth of 2 partners to be a better fit for each other the very goal? Season 2 captured it pretty well, both for Klaus & Cami. 2) If you decide to focus on the family drama part of TO, then Cami as the main fodder for Klaus' redemption, and one of the most trustworthy, without any ulterior motives on her own, except for her love for Klaus, and her supernatural friends, also fits nice and neat in the drama. She serves a very clear role, and I don't think that should take away the value of a character. And viewers who like other female characters like Hayley, Rebekah, Davina, Marcel, anyone who helped TO, should hate them all with same logic. It's Klaus' story. Everything revolves around him. You should hate Elijah, bc he is deigned to redeem Klaus. You should hate Hayley, bc she is built with 2 purposes: mother of Hope, and Elijah's romantic interest. The reasons audience is so intrigued is that, their purposes conflict with what characters want, and it creates tension. What makes Cami different is that HER wants & desires to help Klaus & TO family stay ALIGNED with her purpose of the story. And I don't think it makes that boring like people claimed. It enhances her qualities and values. It's a journey of finding herself, and meeting both light and darkness within her. Cami is not a simple one-dimensional character. She has depths, complexities, and full of conflicts and denial. Heck it took her dying for good for her to tell Klaus she loves him. To answer your question, partially, season 2 is about how Cami finding some makeshift family in the supernatural communities and TO family. She just lost her uncle Kieran, and left truly alone in NOLA, so she wanted to find where she belonged. She loves and cares about Klaus, and wants the best for him, and her mission is to help him become the best version of himself, for his siblings, for his daughter, and in so doing, she discovered bravery, and the warrior's heart inside herself. She is a fighter. She has darkness and anger inside her, but, unlike Klaus, and the vampires, she channels her anger and bravery into strength to fight for what she believes in, for what she loves. Cami asked Klaus in the famous slow dance scene. "It's not what you are fighting against. It's what you are fighting for!" Klaus' therapist. therapist. therapist. What with it? Therapists are awesome! Gosh, It's part of what makes her compelling and so incredibly attractive to Klaus, but that's only a part of Cami, like I said, beside a heart of gold, altruism shining among a dark sea of rage, hurt egos, fears, violence, and evil. Regarding Hope, my friend, I see what you are saying, but they failed to go to that direction. Hope with daddy issues and causing her mother's kidnapping did not make her a complex character. It made Hope a classic teenager who throws a tantrum when they don't get what they want, and will only realize their mistakes when it's too late, and lament having to deal with the consequences. It’s far better than the vampire diaries ever was... but if you’re looking for a personalityless character that everyone adores for yourself to project yourself upon like Elena was in tvd... then you’re not going to find it... *shrug* I’m not going to judge you if that is what you’re into since that’s what a lot of people are into and I was certainly into the male version of that as a kid/teenager but it’s objectively bad writing which is something the originals lacks... well except in season 4 where the villain brings the entirety of the show down... I mean all of the other characters are plots are fine... just... the villain seriously damages the quality of that show since they focus on it so much...

I feel Klaus sees a lot of Caroline's in Camille. The things that fascinated him about Caroline, he saw all of that in Camille & so much more. There's so much light and goodness in Camille, that being around her kinda shreds that off on him. SHE is so good that she sees the goodness in everyone and believe in them potentially changing to be better. Such a strong mind, the dignity of her credits, her individuality and the fact that she sits amongst blood suckers but they're all in awe of her intelligence & also in need of her intake. She is far too good for Klaus to even approach in the matter he did Caroline.... Let alone love. There is attraction & respect. Caroline never reciprocated Klaus emotions nor his love ...But Camille didn't shut off on him. Despite his flaws, sins and darkness, she didn't give up on him & made him a better person. He knows he doesn't deserve her.
