Thanks for sharing the behind-the-scenes reality of being a writer! As a father of three, I completely resonate with how laughter (or crying) from the next room can intrude on the writing process and - in my case - completely derail it. Of course, I also try to work outside the home, as it's the only way to avoid being interrupted every five minutes. For me, the best place right now is the reading room at the National Library - there's just something magical about writing while surrounded by a building full of books. I'm curious, how long does it take you to get back into your writing groove if you've been interrupted?
