Even though they're probably just as safe as any amusement rides you'd find anywhere, there's always been something about midway-style rides that I feel uneasy about.....as though they could fall apart at any second. It's totally just in my head, I understand, but I can't shake the feeling.
@megandunnett79004 жыл бұрын
It’s nothing to be ashamed of. Every time I see the swinging rides in this video at their peak I cringe a little waiting for them to hit a rafter/support beam even though I know they would have spaced them out so that it doesn’t happen. There are some very tall rides in that building that seem to just fit.

This is absolutely amazing. First excellent, and I really do mean EXCELLENT camera work! The clarity of the video, angles and lighting are outstanding! Secondly the concept of building and maintaining an indoor park is superb! Imagine the time and thought process that goes into constructing and aligning each ride with enough space that they don't run into each other or the roof! And to the commenters, these rides are mass produced, so while you may have seen these rides at your local fair, they may not be the exact same ones you see here. Outstanding work Cleveland Ohio!
@MrJuly1990ish8 жыл бұрын
+James Birt "so while you have seen these rides at your local fair" Yeah and most of those rides at the local fairs are old and rusty looking as hell. I mean some people would not ride those rides at the local fair (speaking for myself), cause they don't look safe, might break down or worst the shit looks like it might break off. But the rides here in this video, I have to give them props, they look well kept, safe, taken care of, clean to the point they look brand new.

The Expo has many events booked through out the year, not the carnival. The rides are supplied by many travel ride companies, not just one, and the Expo does not own these rides.

At 1:00 is my one of my all time favorite flat rides, the Zipper. And at 10:03, The Rocko Planes! That used to be my favorite ride when I was a little kid! I used to LOVE getting that cage spinning upside down over and over again. Sadly, around here, when carnivals come around, we don't see any of either any more. They only little kiddie rides around now. Thrill rides or rides for anyone above the age of four or five seem to have fallen out of favor here in my state. I haven't seen a carnival with a thrill ride in YEARS.

It's an indoor amusement park, not a high level chain park. What is with the stigma on fair rides lately? Most of them are better than the new flat ride inventions-such as overrated star flyers, skywarp, endless generic same construction dark rides, "oh this is new" when it's basically a redesign of something old (zamperla endeavor=inverted enterprise). Best new flat ride has to be Zamperla's Air Race design. Meanwhile these parks are also covered with multiple crap coasters who the heck wants to stand up, or get murdered on an slc, or suffer pinfari pain, or intamin zacpsin murder, or one element coasters made out to be so great, etc.
@mnsirens6 жыл бұрын
OneAndOnlySound The reason fair rides are usually more fun is because they’re more dangerous. Permanent rides at true amusement parks like Cedar Point or Kings Island are much more safe than temporary/portable rides that you find at County Fairs or Carnivals. And even though you’ll probably deny this, most of the rides at these fairs have taller and faster counterparts at amusement parks. Compare maxAir at Ceder Point to Freak Out in the video. It’s taller, faster, and also safer. Another is the standard drop tower. They’ve been a staple of County Fairs across the country, but drop towers at amusement parks can top 300 feet, which a County Fair just can’t compete with. The one ride that amusement parks can’t compete with is the Zipper, which is one of the best rides ever built. But again, the safety of that particular ride is questionable (older models, not newer models)

Sowas würde Deutschland auch mal ganz gut tun. In jeder Gemeinde bzw. jedem Landkreis einer und 24/7 geöffnet!
@MichelleInyeshua8 жыл бұрын

At the beginning, I thought it was a centrifuge brain project successor. The angles and the pacing just seemed too perfect. After a while I realized it was real and the video is just perfect.

It kind of looks like one of those amusement parks you see in North Korea.

***** It means it looks like the rides were taken out of a box and put together.

the usa are such a strange country^^, the largest economy in the world but the attractions in this park are so old and boring^^... no theme park or funfair in middle or north europe would looke like that^^... its just funny^^ the design of the ferris wheel for example look like from the 70s or 80s XD
@DerSpassVerderber9 жыл бұрын
daddy come home lol, yes of course there are big theme parks in the us, that are the best in the world (by the way most of the attractions there were designed and built in europe ;) especially in germany: millenium force, top thrill dragster, kingda ka )) but in germany (yes im from germany) you would never found such a medi-evil place^^.... we have thousand of funfairs all over the country every year with attractions like "top spin, top scan, breakdance, shaker, diablo, inferno, capriolo, frisbee, booster... all designed and built in germany, netherlands, swiss (sometimes italy and france)... and at the same time, the US are the world leading country.... and this is very very strange^^... but in a few years china will get this place because you have big big problems^^ and europe will grow... good night G.I. ;)
@ice14769 жыл бұрын
Yes, we are an extremely strange country, but there are other attractions like for instance; six flags, action park, cedar point and many more. Europe has AWESOME amusement parks though, I've seen several videos.

+DerSpassVerderber No offence tourist, but you don't know what your saying. B&M and Intamin are both Swiss and from Europe, but they are still American coasters. Also, please don't even think that China will take over U.S. They're country is polluted and dead as it is. That really did make me feel angry. Also, what manufacture works in The Netherlands?

Now this makes sense at Coney Island for year round entertainment. I mean we had the prototype there to begin with, at the now long gone Steeplechase Park (the Pavilion of Fun) ...
