Thanks brother! I included a bit of him in my Kyūjō incident video. However, I do not know how it would be possible to make a video with him. Since there is no footage from the time of him, and he only plays a smaller part in the movie (both versions) ''The Emperor in August''. If you have any ideas please go ahead and write it to me! Do broni!

@@tatenokaienjoyer - I specialize in words and literature, I don't know much about movies. The character of Anami is very close to me because of my Friend who committed suicide. Shortly before committing suicide, my Friend Michał Berent gave me a book: "A defeated samurai does not return". This is a book by the Polish Publishing House of the Ministry of National Defense from the series: "Tigers", by M. A. Janisławski (published during the communist Poland, during the Polish People's Republic). The defeated merchant, peasant, priest return to everyday life. The samurai (bushi) will not return because his honor will not allow it. He will appoint himself a time and place of death. This is the Japanese proverb. I will try to find interesting materials about Anami to help you make a video. To arms!

@@mentatM I humbly appreciate that you shared that story, he was a true samurai. I will try to do my best as well, it will be very hard to find any footage of him from that time, and in movies also. But, I will remember to include him if/when I use the movie Emperor in August where he plays a big part!

Admiral Yamamoto did not agree with the tripartite agreement. Was he right to think so?
@tatenokaienjoyer
@tatenokaienjoyer 3 ай бұрын
He was wrong. In the terms of that Japans biggest foe was USA, and he was afraid of the US. BUT, when it became clear that Japan had to defend her interests he was not against it. Japan never made any real obligations with that agreement. Only win for Japan (for example a ''real'' defence agreement would have meant that Japan would have to step in to defend and declare war against all enemies of Nazi Germany, which she was not obliged to do). So, that pact didn't really matter. It was mostly symbolic and spiritual bond. I admire Yamamoto, and his strike on PH was ingenious, only unlucky with the carriers not being there that day, but I don't think the whole cult about him (invincible and so amazing) is true. It's in my opinion a cope from the USA, thats also why they focused so much on killing him. Blaming ONE Japanese as being Einstein and then their propaganda was that the Japanese as a race was idiots and had bad eyes to fly airplanes. He was a great admiral for sure, but his role has been exaggerated by American propaganda.

Yes, but it's pretty complicated. So, my own beliefs are that the Kodoha was right in ideology and spirit. But the Toheisa was more realistic, and I agree with them on that Nanshin-ron was right and not Hokushin-ron. But, I think it was good that this was put aside from Konoe's election. The nation united. But, my idealistic and romantic side would of course have prefered if the Kodoha coup of 36 didn't fail.

I have a question, what is your stance on the crimes the Japanese committed against the Chinese, Dutch and others during their invasion? In that turn I ask the same about Germanys crimes against the people of the USSR? Because I've seen people praise them and claim that they are traditional but brutality for the sake of brutality or because of ethnicity is everything but traditional

How can you be both pro February 26th incident and pro Tojo at the same time?
@tatenokaienjoyer
@tatenokaienjoyer 3 ай бұрын
Well, even tough Tojo figures a lot this is a IJA edit not Tojo edit. However, he was the leader during the war, and the internal squabbles were not important at that such delicate time. Also he was quite Kodoha in his mentality if you read up on him (being more of a ''spirit over matter'' such as the Kodoha than many such as General Nagata and many others who were simply for modernization and wanted to get rid of Bushido whilst Tojo promoted the Bushido code and ideals), also with his more ''socialist'' policy towards the people, and he implemented and kept up the ''National defence state'' which was a Kodoha idea - from what I think he was a compromise candidate. I agree more with the Tōseiha view that the USA was the biggest foe of Japanese interests and not the Soviet union, but all in all I sympathize and agree more with the Kodoha's ideological background and spirit.
@markbrown4290
@markbrown4290 3 ай бұрын
Perhaps in his "mentality" and in some of his policies, but his overall decisions show the opposite. If he was truly Kōdōha then surely he would have restored the Emperor to absolute power. Tojo's interpretation of Bushido is also questionable. Tojo certainly promoted the more violent and militaristic aspects, but this was likely because it presented the Japanese war effort in a positive light. In some sense, Tojo picked what aspects of Bushido suited his policy and rejected the features which didn't. The purpose of the February 26th incident was precisely to stop men like this from leading Japan.
@tatenokaienjoyer
@tatenokaienjoyer 3 ай бұрын
@@markbrown4290 The book he issued did however put forward not only the militaristic points of Bushido but also the morals and honour codex. Which has been ignored by historians since. If one looks at his personality he was more Kodoha for sure, if you read his Japanese wiki there is a section called ''anecdotes'' and pretty much all of them show him as a more spiritual warrior and Samurai than the mechanized warindustry promoter. I disagree however, a man who curtailed the Zaibatsus. And led Japan to his best ability, being quite Kodoha (read about his personal life, how he deeply cared about his people during wartime. He was more ''socialist'' as the Ikki Kita ideology than ALL other Toheisa. For me, even tough I much more sympathize and find myself in the ideological camp of the Kodoha I find the choice between Toheisa and Kodoha as a choice between the ulltimate good and the good. As with the Optimates and Populares in Rome. Both were patriotic and wanted the best for the nation. In different ways. Importantly even tough I despise the Zaibatsu system, it kept wealth WITHIN the nation and not on the market or internationally etc. They pay taxes to the nation, they are accountable to the nation. They are KNOWN and not just some organization on the other part of the world. In an earth where capital and greed is the norm, this is much to prefer. As the Keiretsu system is versus global capitalism (if you have seen the Princes of the Yen documentary you get what I mean). Today not a single party wants the best for the nation.

@@tatenokaienjoyer America has a lot of social problems yes but that’s mostly in blue states from the leftists. Despite half of Americans being snowflakes we still have the most powerful military. American society is screwed but within that society there are some exceptions some men stand out in a good light. America is not yet lost especially with the amount of conservatives we have in this great nation. Japan on the other hand is done as a major military power, which is unfortunate because they use to possess a warrior culture. My point being is that America despite all its flaws and setback still remains a powerhouse and is the sole superpower on the earth still. We used to believe that Russia was on par with the United States but look at their performance in Ukraine.

For dying in usless wars, never ending, not having a single major sucsess in battle since the 1960s.
