Tienes razón y hay que agregar también que es difícil encontrar un cooler para lga 1700. En mi país no venden coolers para ese cpu y los adaptadores de socket solo se encuentran en amazon

Sure there is a huge difference when you use a 3080 or 3090, but use a 6600 or 3060 and there is almost no difference. No one is going to pair a 12400 and a 3080

I always pair a mid cpu with high end gpu. I had 5600X + RX 6900 XT and works great at +144fps. Now I moved to another country and I'm searching a 3070Ti / 3080 for my i5 9400F. I'm pretty sure it will work excelent for 1080p 144fps

You would have exactly 10% more FPS with the i5-12400F. In my opinion, it would not be worth it, the hardware upgrade is only worth it if there is at least a 30% increase. It makes more sense for you to upgrade the GPU, but of course that would cost a lot of money. ​

GTX 1060 won’t be bottlenecked by any CPU listed here. Best bet is to use your money for a better GPU. I have an i5 8400 and 2080 Super which does well still even with that lowly CPU. CPU isn’t irrelevant to gaming but much less important than GPU with a new system. For example my 8400 with 2080 Super will outperform a 12900k with a 2070 Super at highest settings in games. I agree with both of you. I upgraded to 12400f this afternoon and have gained around 50% fps in most titles. My 8400 never even reached 100% neither did my 3060ti but there was some architectural bottleneck that caused these micro stutters from time to time and the FPS dropped below 60 in some demanding scenes with RTX + DLSS.
