@demer3r90 Thanks for kind words, I'm trying my best :) . SSD's are mandatory nowdays, even for office PC's, because if you install Windows on HDD, PC will be unusable. Couple months ago I was building Server with Ryzen 7 7700X and at the momwent i tried that PC with OS installed on HDD and it was too slow..

dope build! Im only playing old stuff and Assetto Corsa so i never bothered to upgrade my highly overlcocked system with GTX 970 and i5 4670k and 16 GB DDR3 2400mhz ram. and even a i7 860 will work fine in older singleplayer games. And those old AMD graphics cards are way more capable then u would assume. they really aged like fine wine. With 2GB u have to lower some settings but Esports and games like GTA 5 should still run fine. especially the 7970/ 280x is still a real beast and totally underestimated and can be bought for a couple bucks. my OCd 280x played Metro Last Light Redux in WQHD medium settings with 60+ fps most of the time together with an phenom X6 and overclocking the old hardware defenitely helps.They often react really good to more power.

Yeah, lots of R7 and R9 GPUS are stil capable of some casual gaming, and as you said when you overclock them they become even more useful and enjoyable in gaming :)

I bought a PC with an i7 860, 8 GB of RAM, a GTS 250 1 GB, a 1 TB HDD, and a 128 GB SSD at a thrift store for only 8 euros yesterday lol. I only swapped out the GTS 250 with my old GTX 960 2 GB because I didn't have a DVI cable to connect to my monitor. It works really well, and I think I'm going to use it as a spare PC to have fun. I read that it can be overclocked and can reach the performance of an i7 4790.

GTX 960 is a great GPU to max out I7 860 capabilities, overclocking will definitely boost its performance, but I don't think that it can be nearly as good as i7 4790 since they're 3 gens apart... And to be honest, I've built this i7 860 as my backup PC for my Garage, just to browse internet and listen to some music, because for my main PC I'm using Ryzen 5 7500F and RX 7800 XT 16GB :)

You know what's better with the current Mobo? You should replace it with a LGA 1151 b360m one. That could probably run demanding AAA games. If you have an i5 or i3 CPU, it could have better performance.

Cool build, idk what time period or the competititor of the r9, but it looks like a gtx660 from Asus, so similar performance?, I had a i7 2600 and a 660ti as well, good combo, the 660ti had many problems though it would crash immediately when going into games lately so had to retire it and bought the rx570 4gb much needed upgrade, now running with h81 i5 4670 and 16 gigs with the rx570😄

Idk a competitor of r9, but this r7 265 is similar to GTX 750, still good for lite gaming, olded AAA titles and less demanding e sports games, but anything after 2018 would need GPU with at least 4GB of VRAM.

I have the same mobo and i get that from facebook marketplace for 10 dollars! But what os did you used for that build, that os did not support windows 10 or 11 and how wifi support was with that build?

I've got whole deal with CPU,MB and RAM for only 25$. It's not officially supported, but I tested it with Windows 10, only issue that I had was, that the Windows 10 itself downgraded LAN from 1000mbps to 100mbps, by installing it's driver.

@PoradnikYT Because of the speed, SSD is for system only, because SSD speed is around 500MB/S, and HDD is only 100MB/s, so whole PC would've been really slow if I only used HDD only.
