@gmdesignservices6 жыл бұрын
Copart does not require a yearly fee for public auctions. You have to register and then scan and send a copy of your drivers license or State Identification. After that is approved, you can bid up to $ 1,000.00. If you wish to bid beyond that amount you have to place a deposit of 10% the amount you wish to bid up to. For instance if I want to bid up to $ 1,800.00 I have to place a deposit with them for $ 180.00. The deposit is 100% refundable. There are thousands and thousands of public sale vehicles all the time. No license required. I am not sure about IAA but you can also ship with them and they have an estimated shipping charge that can be seen while viewing any vehicle.
@SergeyPip6 жыл бұрын
Gary Meleski you are correct, thank you! They do offer shipping, but in my experience it is much more expensive to use them rather than finding someone else.

Great video Sergey Pip, but if I do not have a dealer's license, must I use a broker to make a purchase for them both IAA or Copart? I am trying to purchase a high-in vehicle for my own personal use. 2nd question how hard is it to get a flood car up and running and the electric item in the car working? Porsche Panamara!!!
@SergeyPip6 жыл бұрын
non ya Hello! That depends on the state you live in. If it's a public state, you do not need a broker or dealers license to purchase. If you live in a non public state it will depend on the auction. Copart, you should be able to make a purchase. IAAI will most likely not allow it. But for an expensive car like a Panamera, I'd suggest you do use a broker. Watch my IAAI VS Copart fees video and you'll see that a public buyer's fees are much higher with newer/expensive vehicles. Let me know if you have additional questions!
@extuck6 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot. I'm in NC do you If one broker is recommended over another like as far as broker fees or revealing your max bid to the seller or price raising? Sorry to be a pest.
@SergeyPip6 жыл бұрын
non ya don't be sorry! I'm happy to help! Broker fees will depend on the broker. I know iaai can help you find a broker, or they have a link on their website that shows brokerage websites that help people buy from iaai. They can't reveal your max bid to the seller. Most likely what a broker will do is place your max bid on a vehicle. To explain that: say the prebid closes at $2k and your max bid is $4k. The bid will only increase when another person places a bid. So say you are winning at $2k, someone bids $100, the system will automatically bid for you another $100 increasing the bid to $2.2k. Another person bids $100, the system will automatically bid again raising the bid to $2.4k. And that will happen until your max bid is outbid or until you win up to your max bid of $4k. Does that help?

Hey! If the seller is an insurance company, it all depends on them. For example, accident involved a criminal trial or something along those lines. Vehicle probably can't be sold until that's over just in case it's needed for evidence. Or if there was a lien on the title prior to the accident, so it has to be paid off. That could also be delayed due to various reasons. 1 year is definitely on the long end, but I've seen it happen.

@multyz16 жыл бұрын
Don't forget that the estimated retail value is when the car is not salvaged and is in perfect running condition. You have to look at the damages on the car you want to bid on, analyze the cost of the parts you might need to repair the car, repair labor cost and even the cost to transport the car from the sale site to you. I always make sure that in totality I don't spend more than 50% of the car's estimated retail value after I'm done repairing the car. Also be very discipline on whatever you want to spend on the car and don't exceed that amount. I bought a 2017 Honda Accord EXL V6 with 8000 miles on it and estimated value of $25000. The total cost to ship the car to me and get it repaired would be $3000. Before bidding on the car I budged $7500 and didn't spend a dime more.
