I don't have a dojo anywhere near me, and iaido and Kenjutsu have both been something I've always wanted to learn. I've had a bokken and a shinai for a while now, and recently was able to purchase an obi and hakama. I've finally started practicing what I can on my own for the time being, and this video is a constant reference for me as I'm getting started with the basics. どうもありがとうございます 🙇♂️🙇♂️🙇♂️

I wish to ask one question. What is the Reason for yourself wearing White. Is traditional black kimono with black white striped bottoms formal dress for Samurai
@SAMURAIKAZARTS2 жыл бұрын
We usualy wear the color of dougi when we demonstrate at shrine or temple. White color means in Japan is to show that your mind is pure. And When you practice with white dougi. I can find your fix point than black color or something colors.

Thank you for your video sensei. I have a question, what is the reason why we use left hand for power and right hand to navigate? What if I change position and functions of my two hands? Arigatogozaimasu!
@aristotle293 жыл бұрын
I don't mean to answer for him, but how I was taught was that your left hand isn't as good with finer motor skills (if you are right-handed), but is good for large motor skills. So using your right hand to guide makes for a more accurate cut, while using your left for power is easier because it only has to travel down your center and has less to do.
