When you said the Tentacles from Illaoi blocked the level 2 around 19:23. You can actually slow it down to 0.25 if you need to and see that Sajam's Ekko dashed up after install, baited, THEN blocked the level 2. That was actually a sick bait. It looks like he was gonna slash her, but its a dash block. That SF6 came into play.

I still haven't seen any confirmation on who controls assists. Around the 4:30 mark it sounds like Justin is talking about the assists being on point (along with DHC), which wouldn't make sense if the player controls the assist.

It good to have duos for online play, but how will locals and tournaments do it? Is there going to be solo and duos ones?

I'm super curious about that as well. There might be seperate brackets for duos and solo, but I imagine that is hell for the organizers, maybe you'd need to do them on different days. But I hope there is a place for duos in tournaments - they're almost guaranteed to produce some hype moments. And I imagine winning with a great duo partner is quite a different feeling than winning solo, too.

This has already been addressed but the way they're trying to design it is that there would just be one bracket. You could play with a partner or not. It doesn't matter.

But I wonder, if there's only one bracket, seen from a pro player's viewpoint there'd be hardly any incentive to play duos, though, right? You'd likely split any of the money you might win and coordinating with another player is probably harder than playing solo. It may be more fun perhaps to win with a partner, but if you really try and make a living out of playing, what would be a compelling reason to play as a duo?

​@@GenderNeutchthere is actually a really huge advantage on duos. in the 50/50 sandwiches, you will need to read 2 separate brains, not just one. There is also some plays that are only possible with a duo because of that, the level of mind games doubles because you wont know when the point character will call for an assist because who calls the assist is the other player.

Obviusly 2 person os worts than one, just think about the possibilitys of your teammate failing the timing of your combo with the assist... of course it can happen to yourself playing alone but with 2 people the chances are double u know

Team tag games are not statistically notable in the fg scene. Most games are 1v1, and the most popular ones are 1v1 as well... and there are less team games than in the past even. They are not trendy or greatly appealing, and usually are supported by the franchise name. Marvel, DBFZ, etc. That is what helps to sell them, not that the design choice of intense and chaotic gameplay.
