I’m not sure if you know Iam’s back story. In his audition video, he sings this song dedicating it to his late father who died of kidney failure. When he auditioned, it was only a few months since his dad’s death. His father was the one that mentored him and pushed him to practice on his guitar and sing. When he sings he can hear his father harmonizing with him. That is why this song always makes him break down. It reminds him of being in the hospital with his dad and hoping that he can make his father proud
