It's like with every incarnation ionna becomes less ethereal and more human. The scene around the fire is the most human I think i've seen her represent herself and its striking. The Make up, the outfits, more clothing than costume. Less performative, more emotive. Grounded. Less abstract in narrative and more direct. Even the vocal delivery is made easier to understand in terms of lyrics. I love watching this evolution and I have no doubt it has deep meaning. A true artist. Incredible.

It's giving me Fleetwood Mac and Dolly Parton vibes, whilst also bringing Jonna's career full circle back to her days of 10 Pieces, 10 Bruises, and that really feels like a full acceptance of her whole journey and every aspect of it. Whilst before there maybe have been some distance kept from her indie career as Jonna Lee, now it feels like she is ready to embrace it again, and champion all facets of herself.
