I can safely say "NO", absolutely no one else will bother. Hardly anyone else in the world can even MFC MAX 300, let alone doing a speed run with all these songs. It's an impossible thought that ends up being way too much work. Anyone else who attempts this will end up giving up. This further proves that Chris is the best DDR player in the whole wide world (a.k.a. the GOAT). There's no question about it.

Having max 300, then exotic ethnic, followed by healing vision back to back at the end of the run nearly 4 hours in really shows how easy these songs are for him. I know they aren’t “hard” compared to the insane songs of today, but those used to be hard-ish songs and still are for average players.
@samuelprescott74262 жыл бұрын
I really prefer the old style of DDR music - old school techno, trance, jungle rave beats that had the unique Japanese flavour, as compared to the new stuff which seems to be 99% anime inspired. It's not necessarily an issue (for example, I love Alien Alien), but when I play modern DDR I long for cool beats like Afronova, but modern.
@NicholasNRG2 жыл бұрын
There's a lot of otaku-oriented content nowadays but nowhere near 99% of the game. The thing is modern versions have a much larger amount of new songs than the classic games. Each folder goes upwards of 100 songs vs classic games that would add about 50 or less, and even then a lot of that was licensed Dancemania songs. There's just as many Konami Original songs being added as back then, only there's a lot more room for the otaku stuff as well..
@samuelprescott74262 жыл бұрын
@@NicholasNRG Yeah, it being a question of volume does make sense. I remember when SuperNOVA came out and we were like "wow, there are so many songs in the SuperNOVA folder" lol. You're right too, I was exaggerating with the 99% figure, obviously the super hard songs are usually mindfuck electronic stuff, and there's a big range in there these days.

It's so weird how optimizing this type of run means reacting quickly enough to a Perfect to not hit subsequent notes in order to save time (provided you don't MFC every single song first try lol) Not to mention the later a Perfect is into the song the worse it is for the run. The amount of tension during every song is insane, and just goes to show the massive level of mental fortitude Chris has.
@Pepsiaddicto2 жыл бұрын
there seem to be times when he got the perfect but continued the song just for practice, in theory making it more likely to MFC next run, but also wasting time. So, technically it's not very optimized, but Chris is probably the only person in the world who could even fathom doing this in one session, so I think this record will go unchallenged for some time.
