As a believer and avid Dodger fan Clayton Kershaw is one of the best to wear the uniform. Praise God for him

Wow! Just wow! Talk about a kid that " GETS IT! " So proud to have Clayton Kershaw represent the Los Angeles Dodgers in such a humble manner. Unfortunately you can't teach what Mr. Kershaw is about, but the hope of this message is eternal. He is about to become the highest paid professional pitcher in the world and will undoubtedly continue to help the less fortunate in more ways than financial. Thank you Mr. & Mrs. Kershaw!

Yes we can absolutely compare him to Koufax....Because Koufax himself said Kershaw is better than he was. Humility is what keeps this man great on the field...and what will be his legacy...especially what he and his wife, Ellen, have done off the field....for the betterment of humanity.

Cierra Lara ah! Yes, the true God. Gotcha. Not those thousands of other gods. Oh no. This is the one true God. I mean... it could have been one of the others, couldn't it? One of those stupid, made up, false god. Not yours though. Oh no. You've picked the one true God. All the others are fabricated, manmade nonsense. Not yours though. Oh no. 100% correct and true. Not made up at all...that's all those other gods, right?

Cierra Lara great, thanks! Anything in there about how to stop priests from raping children? I've counselled such victims, and they ask why god allowed it. Guess he was busy helping Kershaw with his slider that day?
@bellevueace67 жыл бұрын
You thank me for helping them? I don't need your thanks. It makes me sick to the core that humans can 'worship' an 'all powerful' deity who does nothing to stop his priests from inserting themselves inside innocent children. Repeatedly.....over years in many cases. If I could stop a child from being raped, I would, that's the difference between me and your 'god'. My turn for a question (a rhetorical one, if I may ...) - there are marches against abortion, homosexuality and so on... When is the march planned to stop the church from hiding its own paedophiles? There isn't going to be one, is there? Gays? March! Abortion? March! Paedo priests? Oh now that's very sinful and I'm sure they'll get punished ... You realise that this is moral bankruptcy, surely? Everyone else does ...

Those who talk about God in a bad way are those who find God gets in the way of their life. More often than not, those type of individuals enjoy in behaving badly (some very discreetly) and want to shove God away from themselves as far as possible through doubt and insults so he doesn't get in the way.

Of Course you put others first as Christian. But what he meant by "Second" here is that he is always second and GOd is the first one who takes control. There are only you and God in this conversation. Don't worry about others yet. We always want to make decision by our own. Once we learn that God is the one who controls it and let him take control, life will be successful in God's way. Then, help others and put others before me. If we don't have right relationship with god, we can't help other

If affecting people is thru tragedy is the platform one person gets, that doesn't mean it's the only platform you can share about God. Some will have the stage and popularity to affect others. You can't tell me Tim Tebow isn't trustworthy either, even with the mission work he's done in the Philipines. Just as Kershaw in Africa.

If you're going to use "God" in anything understand that the law of attraction helps those who help themselves, you may say "God" is the reason for something but "God" will not help you get a job if you don't go look, "God" will not feed your children if you don't go out and do something about it, so in all reality call it what you want, but "God" helps those who help themselves, Clayton didn't become a baseball player because he sat on his couch dreaming and playing video games, Clayton had a hand in it.
@zayneearl47169 жыл бұрын
ray Gordon See ray, you've got it all wrong. GOD is the reason that you are here. God is the reason that you commented on this video. God is everywhere. He knows everything, from the point when you are going to die or when we all die. Because of GOD, Clayton Kershaw is a good pitcher
@thebullybuffalo9 жыл бұрын
+ray Gordon Oh Ray of Ray. God created the air that fills the breath in your lungs and food that you provide your family. He gave Kershaw the talent to throw a baseball. Of course there is an aspect of personal effort involved. God wants us to show our true character. If God didn't create situations and give us the skills to rise to the occasion how could we do so? Provide for your children. Train your baseball skills. God us these things to demonstrate stewardship. Nevertheless, Kershaw DOES owe his career to God. There would be no Kershaw or Kershaw's talent or even a baseball league without God. God has given us everything we need but he hasn't forced us to simply use them. He wants to test our character by testing our volition

Clayton, it is true that you are talented. But the body you are endowed with is from your parents, not God. It is combination of DNA from your parents that constitute your body. You happen to get the most talented body in our era, but there is always somebody who gets the best body, so there is no surprise here. There is no will of God involved. It is purely biological and probabilistic occurrence that you get the body you have.
@KLee2753311 жыл бұрын
the point is is that, as a Christian, our belief is that God made everyone in his image, the way he needs you to be in order to glorify him. which means yes it is genetics that gave him his ability to play so well, but God is the one who made him and gave him the parents he has so he would have the body and abilities in order to be successful; that success is what God wanted for his life so he could show people God through his life and the way he leads it.
@pleiotropicaction11 жыл бұрын
Kadee Spears My point is that God has no place in nature. Origin of species can be explained perfectly well with evolutionary theory coupled with molecular biology without any intervention by God, without postulating fictional entities called God.
@jordanboyd479611 жыл бұрын
pleiotropicaction well we do see God appear in science, one example is the molecule Laminin
@pleiotropicaction11 жыл бұрын
***** Science provides a testable hypothesis about the nature of reality. So there are good hypotheses and bad hypotheses. It is no mere interpretation. It is not religion that defeats your wrong belief about the nature of things. You know all things that are believed to be solid are not completely solid only by knowing that everything are made up of tiny molecules and atoms that combine them and the configuration of molecules is easily destroyed by adding heat, etc. It is science that gives you best description about the nature of things. God plays absolutely no part in the universe.
