Helene is one of the most known and most successfull german artists ever. She sold 18 million records and belongs to the best paid entertainers worldwide. Her biggest concert was in München (Munich) in 2022 ... 130,000 people attending - sold out in 20 hours only. As she mostly performs in german language, she is not very known outside of german speaking countries ... but in this case - for example - Helene did not ask Tom to sing with her, it was the other way around! Tom wanted (!) to perform with Helene and ask her! So she inveted him to her show, which includes: She is so famous in Germany, that she's got her own (music-/concert-) show on national television - or short "The Helene Fischer Show!" (< in german: "Die Helene Fischer Show").

Helene most likely is still the biggest German singer right now although her popularity is definitely not as incredibly huge as it was 10 years ago anymore. She still does the biggest tour in Germany. For example last year she did 7 consecutive concerts in Cologne's Lanxess-Arena which is the biggest arena in Germany and one of the biggest in Europe. What makes her so great are her concerts. What you have reacted to now were 2 performances from her on her own show. I suggest you react to her live performance of Hand in Hand from her Rausch-Tour in which she performed with her husband who that song is dedicated to, obviously.

@@carlarohde942 : Schlagermusik ist nun nicht unbedingt Hochkultur, das ist nicht Sinn der Sache, aber als reine Unterhaltung, Ablenkung nach einer anstrengenden Woche hat dieser Musikstil seine Berechtigung und Nische. Es gibt viele verschiedene Arten von Musik, da sollte für jeden etwas dabei sein, was ihm gefällt.

@@brittakriep2938 ich stimme dir vollkommen zu. Die Fischer verachte ich aus anderen Gründen zutiefst! Ihre Musik ist auch weit weg von dem was ich sonst so höre. Das Eine hat mit dem Anderen jedoch nichts zu tun.
