Why would people be proud of following a prophet who married a 6 year old CHILD? or follow Allah, when God Almighty talked to Moses said I AM WHO I AM, he never said I am Allah, then Moses WROTE THE FIRST 5 BOOKS( Genesis, Exodus, Numbers, Leviticus and Deuteronomy) of the Book of God the ONLY one THE BIBLE. So, There is only one TRUE God, one True Book and one True Faith. There are many Muslims who were "born" into Muslim families - but have never totally been interested in Islam - especially once they left their parents' homes and their supervision. Some of the most faitful Muslims are the "reverts" - who come to Allah, swt, by way of other faiths after reading Quran and honestly seeking to find "the Truth". Such is my story - as I grew up in an all-Xtian family and I'm the only Muslim in it (outside of a 1st cousin who reverted for a time but then stopped believing after her divorce). Though I'd never call myself the best Muslim at all - but my core beliefs of Tauhid, Taqwa, and Sadaqa have never left me - even though I don't offer Salat as well as I should (which is not Allah's, swt, nor Islam's fault - but totally mine). I ask Allah, swt, to grant me respite until I can do better........

I know you’re still researching, but inshaAllah (God willing) when you are certain of your belief that there is no god except Allah, and that He sent prophets including Jesus and Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon them both). then there is absolutely no reason to wait to become a Muslim. In fact you shouldn’t delay saying your Shahadah (testimony of faith) because none of us know at which moment we may die. 
 You just need to say the Shahadah _out loud_ and believe the words in your heart and then you will become a Muslim. You don’t need anyone else in order to do it. 
You don’t need to go to a mosque to say it (though it is recommended to visit a mosque and say it again in front of other Muslims and to learn how to pray, connect with other Muslims etc. but this isn’t a requirement of saying your Shahadah). 
You can do it yourself right this second. Here is the Shahadah that you say: Transliteration: “Ash-ha-du al-laa ilaa-ha il-la Allaah, wa ash-ha-du an-na Mu-ham-ma-dan ab-da-hu wa ra-soo-la-hu.” Translation: “I bear witness that there is no god except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His slave and His messenger.” Once you say this out loud with belief in the words, you are Muslim. You don’t need anyone to help you with it. 
You can say it in English. 
You don’t need any witnesses. 
This is between you and Allah. 
Allah is your first witness. If you are worried about what your family will say, here is a dua (supplication) to ask Allah to help open the lines of communication with your family: Transliteration: Rab-ba-na if-tah bay-nana wa bay-na qaw-mi-na bil haq, wa An-ta khay-rul faa-ti-heen. 
(Al-Araf, Chapter 7, Verse 89). Translation: “Our Lord! Open the truth between us and our people, for You are the best of all to lay open the truth!”
 And most importantly, keep asking Allah to guide you. Allah never rejects a prayer for guidance.

If Jesus had no come from HEAVEN, ( John 6:38-66) there would be no humankind salvation. We all be living and dying with no purpose. Jesus by his crucifixion and resurrection defeated the devil, death and we all are clean of our sins. The Muslims faith deny Jesus death on the cross and raising from the dead, this is why Jesus will deny those who denied before His Father in Heaven , Matthew 10:33. So, don't waste your time, there is only ONE TRUE GOD, one Holy Book, THE Bible and Jesus is LORD. Jesus returned to HEAVEN after 40 days, and said to his apostles in Matthew 28:18-20 'Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”. Jesus NEVER lies, so get baptized or lose your soul to the devil, John 3:5.
