I do love this song, but the remastered version of Spotify puts me off. Not that I hate the song that I love being reworked out... but the original had the small quirks and qualities I can pinpoint and love. The new Spotify version sheds a lot of them off. There ARE some new qualities that I like, esp. at the approx. 1:42 part when there's an added line "with agony"... and some other sparkly sound effects. And the fact that they redid the outro is nice? But I like the original outro much more better.

I wondered why this sounded different on Spotify. Is the original version there, as well? I love the remaster, but like you said, this one has quirks, like the guitar at 2:06, and I can't help but like it just the tiniest bit better. The fact that I don't really like fade-out outros probably helps as well.

Maybe it was just me though, as I have downloaded the song before in its album version and heard it for a lot of my life, but when I got a new computer and no MP3 of this song, I am guessing the effects wore off in the meantime and now I have had to bear with it
