Ian Conway's insights are truly invaluable. Governments and the aboriginal industry should take pains to learn from him.

Teachers and carers are so undervalued in this country. There are some passionate people that are not spotlighted on enough. Bless them.

All strength to you Ian and you wife for your passion and resilience in your work ... it's a shame that the people in Canberra have no idea or are ignorant of what needs to be done to support good people like you.

Great insight into how a lack of education in basic living skills holds people back and makes it more difficult to get ahead.

Interesting idea to educate adults as well as children. You are a nice humanistic man.

Spoken truly about isolated indigenous kids as their background has no written language no accredited history Saw young girl left dying from malnutrition kidney hookworm family neglect rescued educated & adopted by white family Tribe welcomed her back in her adulthood visit thinking she had money but she refused to return recalling the previous neglect Sad story from Qld & would be like that every where Myself white born in depression had tough early time & people had only what they earned by hard work Culture & art wonderful but doesnt build large civilised nations

One of the great American civil rights wins was integrating the schools so black kids could get the same education as white kids. Now it seems in Australia we’re trying to re-segregate our educational institutions. Promoting dialects and culture is not the purpose of education. Boarding school in Alice, start early before the damage is done. Birbalsingh doesn't lower expectations.
