You have not lost your soul in dance, Ian! Haters gonna hate! Keep doing what you're doing because it's amazing! You are an inspiration! Thank you for being you.

I think it's for "dance fans" that can't see beyond the first layer in dance. Idk but to me, ian is really artsy and crafty which his moves, so for the general public, it's hard to see what he's doing. For for dancers, they can appreciate his growth and change.

Contrary to pop belief I'm not a hater. I have critiqued a less than performance at times, but never would suggest Ian has lost is soul. That's nonsense. He has inspired countless and continually evolves. This piece was particularly impressive from the choreo to the production to the music. It was the right kind of nostalgia. Proof that Ian is far more than a brilliant dancer.

I love how non-dancers always try to tell dancers how to dance 🙃
@ondadeadlocs37115 жыл бұрын
It's because non dancers ( like me) only see 1 to 2 layers. While ian is like a 12 layer type of guy and he's really different from the rest, even his choreo, even more so his freestyles. Which i can see why lots of his general fans feel a type of way.
@just_donye5 жыл бұрын
@@ondadeadlocs3711 I never thought about it like that. I myself am into dance so when I watch videos like these I pick every single movement apart then put it back together and it's very moving to me. I guess I never thought that those who don't have a passion for dance may not view it the same way. Thank you for the insight.

@@just_donye Yeah, I think a good example is les twins vs fiksun. This specfic battle only. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bmjXZpJof6eUqsk with fikshun, i knew and saw all this hits. But with the twins it was harder to see, either he was struggling or he hit with more layers. #justAdanceFan

yoo this is dopeeee the vintage feel and the simplicity; reminds me that dancing is the main focus of a video, and not all the angles, production, etc

You never fail to amaze me!! Anytime you post any type of new dance video I always get inspired and motivated to get up and dance. Also I'm super appreciative of the message you're preaching in the dance world of learning to dance to dance not for the sole purpose of content.

Interesting description actually.. I noticed that things seem to look different with some experience. Maybe they can't understand what you are telling and exploring because they haven't experienced that feeling yet?

look at the turn and tap at 00:45. only Ian is able to intrinsically tap his feet to the beat- adding that much more musicality. whereas his other dancers just do a turn. obviously they could have done it if it were part of the choreogrpahy- but ian adds it in as a little move as he feels it- he feels the music so much more- and is so much more connected to it than even other pros, who just do the moves.
