I'm not writing to name drop at all. I'm a former (not really active anymore) actor in Portland where Ian is from and he and I worked in a small, independent film that was shot here over a decade ago. I haven't talked to him or seen him in years. I was fortunate to attend the last show he did in Portland while he still lived here before he moved to LA. I can tell you he is one of the nicest, most genuine people I have ever met in the film scene here. He really does think of others. I couldn't be happier for him.

I never met him personally. But his mom was my nurse while I’m preterm labor in Portland about 12 years ago and she was so proud of Ian. She would come and show me clips of his stand ups! She was the sweetest lady I ever met! ❤
