the problem is they dont pay for there actions the tax payer gets the bill and they do it again and again if they are forced to pay out of there own pocket they will only do it the once once is enough to stop the rot and it will stop every one else from doing it

Isn't it amazing that no one in the bureaucracy suffers detriment however badly they screw up. There is little responsibility, very little accountability and zero detriment. What outcome can you expect.

That's disgusting, an innocent man framed by these corporate thugs, they should all be sacked and have their assets seized. This poor man, hope others will be suing this police criminals

6 police should personally pay for the compensation and they should be jailed as well.

There has to come a time when P O L I C Y E N F O R C E R S are made to be accountable! And to use their terminology they have to be made an example of!

The corrupt police should be paying this, not the taxpayer. What is disincentivizing them from continuing to behave the way they have

The DPP would only bring matters to the courts when their brief was back by facts that could be substantiated. Now police and DPP take matters before the courts to financially burden the plaintive, and when offer an exit with the charges dropped, as long as costs aren't sort. Financially, having to be put in the courts is incredibly expensive.. leaving you with no recourse..

As you have said before. One of them brought to account will get the ball rolling.

Absolutely!! It's not going to be easy because they've stacked the deck in their favour but we'll get it done 👍

The cops own this one. It's their stink, but we, the taxpayers, will land up footing bill as usual. G'day Australia 🇦🇺. So bad and so sad 😞.

What are your thoughts on the Monica Smit case and her being hit with full costs of $200k despite winning 2 of the 3 charges and being given compensation of a measly $4K ?
@dennismcdonnell78537 күн бұрын
He should win the case for the money, and the money should come from the confiscation of the properties of all the police and others who were involved in this great fraud at any level. Of course, those involved should never be able to work for government again. Criminals have to be taught not to be repeat offenders.

Every person involved should get minimum 10yrs mandatory prison. The system is a fuckup like everyone it employs.

I wouldn’t mind even getting $2.5 million for being drunk and stupid. And lying.

As long as its the police who personally have to sell their cars, houses , bikes etc to pay that $10 million... Im totally for it...

My life and time are priceless... What about yourself??? I would be want $100,000,000... You can NOT get the time back or what you have missed out on and doing. Make these people and the government pay up big... This will stop corruption in Australia by police and magistrate's. Especially when the Prime Minister has to start spending money on compensation out of tax payer money... Start paying out billions of dollars in compensation. Things will change immediately...
