To be fair, it's probably because he doesn't want to be constantly reminded of his failed relationship with Nina, especially seeing as though he is so in love with Nikki now. Just let Damon be happy for once, instead of running around after Elena like a dumb dog!

Delena fan, but I understand Ian's situation. The way his wife is bashed, the way speculations about him and Nina are made, even today, if I were in his position, I'd do anything to take the attention away too. He is also reported to have said he thinks Stelena would have been better because it would have atleast left his personal life in peace. People need to understand that TVD is a show, and Nina and Ian only played Elena and Damon. They are not those characters in real life.

Actually he was a Bamon fan since the 60s dance. He talks about it in another interview and references the books. He didn’t ship Bamon to be vindictive post-break up. He did it because he honestly saw the chemistry between the two characters. Once Nina left he campaigned for it with Kat. They both wanted it but racism still exists 🙄

tbh im done with the stupid delena relationship, its not even convincing anymore and it feels like they try to hard and as for beremy i think its weird how bonnie is dating her bestfriends brother/cousin. i think having bamon would be cool, new and fresh and not as confusing as the stupid love triangle. bonnie is my favourite character

Its like a soap opera with vampires, witches , and travelers , and werewolves ,oh my the idea of Damon with Bonnie weirds me out I mean the moments when they weren't trying to kill each other earlier on were sweet , but the idea of them together weirds me out not because I'm for what does 1 call the ship of Jeremy and Bonnie?, but beause Damon was put in charge of taking care of Jeremy and it kinda weirds me out that Damon was like the new [really bad example] father figure caretaker person to Jeremy and.....he might be having a solice........is that the right word?, moment with Bonnie?

It's hard to say what the show might do. I really believe that Damon and Elena are endgame but I do know that the hottest and I mean hottest couples have already started out hating each other. It's because when they are around each other the emotions get the best of them. Opposites do attract as well. That "hate" is a veil for their true feelings that they both are trying to deny. There's a thin line between love and hate. It's indifference that makes two people unlikely to become romantic. With the show throwing them together the way they did it could very well lead to something pretty dynamic and it wouldn't necessarily be a rebound either. Then we have Bonnie sacrificing herself yet again. This time for Damon and him screaming NO!!! (I believe) That right there means he didn't want to leave with her even to go back to be with Elena. And now he's missing Bonnie and calling her phone to tell her he misses her. If we get a scene where he's laying in bed with that terry bear I'm going to know something for sure. It would be a cute scene through. Anyway, Elena discovered she loved Damon when he did something very unselfish for her where Steffen was concerned. Bonnie did the same. She forced Damon into going home without her so that he would be with Elena. If Damon starts forgetting everything including Elena to find a way to bring Bonnie back, well, that's pretty much it folks.

Opaque Anity Actually they don't have any ratings, never really did. They barely get 600k views an episode. The thing is they don't care. And the CW isn't NBC, ABC, CBS, etc. for which they will never be able to write for. . The head writer... whatever her name is... can't help but taint her writing with what she is... a racist. Bonnie is just there so that she can check the multicultural, diversity box but her writing clearly shows how she feels about Black folks... Black women in general and Bonnie is her way of tell us all. You can see that same thing in The Originals. My thing is why help her get a paycheck by even watching her shows?.

I love reading Bamon fanfiction, but that is it. I use to ship them but I really thought about it and it would not work. They only work as besties. They know each other too well and they call out each other on their bullshit. Damon could never lie to Bonnie like he does to Elena, she knows him too well. Bonnie is too strong minded for him.

Thats exactly why Bamon DOES work. theyre both strong minded and hold their ground. They challenge each other and press each others buttons. While Delena is a very toxic couple. Theyre so codependent and one of Elena’s quotes that proves this is “I have gone against everything I believe in because I love you!” He changed her completely and not in the best way.

Okay first I got super excited about him wearing his "daylight" ring while at a convention interview but I have to say this I'm gonna be extremely disappointed if Damon and Bonnie end up "falling in love". Maybe it's because I don't like Bonnie or maybe it's because I just have never felt any chemistry between them so it won't feel believable to me. Also if Damon and Bonnie are together and 'end up' together why return to their loved ones if they have a new love together? But whatever I don't control the show so we'll see what happens I just really hope there's no Damon and Bonnie love story. I know there's a lot of Bamon fans out there so if you get what you want good for you I'm not even a Delena fan I'm just a Damon fan.

See that's what bothered me about them getting together. They've never once showed interest nor do they have any chemistry to make it believable. It would just bother me if paired them up it'd seem almost wrong. But that's just my thoughts.
