It is also a good thing, that if he ever gets released, everyone will know who he is through his fame. Some nonces who get out, can end up blending in with society, with people not knowing their past. There will be no such thing for this dirty bastard, and if he ever does get released, he should never be allowed a passport, he should let the locals deal with him in Gt Britain, wherever he settles. People may say "let him leave, we dont want him!" But children are innocent and don't deserve being abused, it doesn't matter what country they are from. I find it embarrassing that we (the British, and our law makers) let a convicted Nonce, go abroad to carry out his crimes, (he should be somewhere where he can be watched for the rest of his life, if the law makers insist on releasing such scum) what must the victims and their families think of us? This was one of the sickest cases I'd ever heard of, both back then and still to this day. Grown men abusing kids of say 15-16 is bad enough, but babies for f**k's sake!! How the hell can an adult be turned on by a baby? It's horrifying. And as for the so called mother's allowing it to happen.They should have all received full life sentences. I was really glad to hear about the attack, but to be honest I'm surprised the arsehole has survived this long in the first place. And although I wouldn't care I'm glad they didn't kill him. Sadly he's not on an actual life sentence and will be out eventually (although he's on various lists for life). First shot at getting out I think is around 2031. Doubt he'll ever change, though, and the authorities will watch him like a hawk forever. He'll probably get banned from using the internet etc.

As an ex screw I can confirm sex offenders do see their crimes crimes differently, as you've said. But then so did burglars and other offenders. For example I lost count of the amount of times I'd hear.... "I only did commercial burglary, I don't do houses or people, they're all insured and stuff too" With sex offenders its usually 3 grades. Lowest grade and people thought of as the "best" sex offenders, are usually people who've offended against their own partners or ex partners. Middle grade is people who have offended against grown women but usually ones they don't know, grabber or snatchers, or extremely violent cases. Highest grade and therefore lowest thought of is anyone offending against kids. It was quite common for there to be social segregation between these self imposed categories and often even abuse and violence towards people in "lesser grades" as they thought

I am not hugely up to date with the Watkins case, but as a DS whom has had to deal with the likes of these vile disgusting monsters, it always troubles me when others allow or enable these sadistic bstrds to do what they do. As a Dad myself, if anyone so much as touched my Son, I'd lose the plot, but as a DS I also understand and know I would have to entrust my colleagues to seek justice. I wouldn't even be told or be allowed anywhere near the custody suite where said offender is being held, for obvious reasons. How any parent could allow a monster like Watkins to molest their child, is beyond my comprehension, as I'm sure it would be anyone's. I've seen some pretty messed up things during my career, but never have I personally dealt with a parent allowing or enabling another person to abuse their child, and I hope I never have to deal with one either. My Son is pretty street wise, even for 12 years old, but that's probably down to me drumming into him how dangerous it is out there, particularly online. Watkins should never be released, he's clearly of significant risk, and I'd imagine his mappa level is through the roof.
