I have an amazing teacher and this really made me think of him. I want to be an author and this teacher has helped me so much with this and always puts a smile on my face and helps me to stand up when I feel down or feel like giving up. However he has helped me with far more than just my writing and the list could literally go on forever. I always tell him how grateful I am and he just says it's what he signed up for as a teacher but due to just being ignored and laughed at by teachers in my primary school for writing he means far much more to me than he knows no matter how many times I tell him how grateful I truly am.

An Ealing Comedy "Passport To Pimlico" shows you just how sh1te some parts of London were left abandoned & neglected. We were fcukin bankrupt after the war and been in the US pockets ever since.... I feel guilty to have had a fairly easy existence as a 70s kid, but we were lucky to have had the upbringing to be taught respect and being grateful for simple pleasures. That makes me wanna thank my old teacher, Mr. Bopp. I had abusive parents, who both drank alcohol and punished me for being part of their life's. I often couldn't make it to school because the police often took my parents with them after they screamed and hit me. Mr. Bopp always took his time for me, asked me after every class , if everything was fine. It was never fine, I was too scared to tell him what was going on at home. But he had that feeling. I had lunch with a mentor of mine a month ago he was a retired aerospace engineer and I wanted to be an aerospace engineer but I wasn’t doing well in school but he put his confidence in me and encouraged me to keep pushing forward. Fast forward to now I’m an aerospace engineer working at the same company he used to work at and having lunch with my mentor telling him how proud he was of me just like how Mr. Pigden did for Ian Wright

I had a bad teacher when I was about 10 years old and had her for two years. She damaged me so much by bullying me that even the good teachers couldn’t turn it around. I’m 47 now, and I still pass her when she is out for a walk or out and about and I’m always civil to her as she is old now, but I always wonder what I could have done if i hadn’t had her as a teacher. I left school at 15, with no education but I did get a trade and I have worked all my life, but I never got to fulfill my true potential. A good teacher is so important, especially to someone like me who was nervous and quiet. One of my ex classmates who is now a teacher, told me at our 40th class reunion that she uses that teacher as an example of how not to teach and she acknowledged infront of everyone how badly I was picked on by that teacher, which, after all that time, gave me almost a sense of relief, as I’d never actually heard anyone say it to me. I had so many great teachers who I remained friends with over the years, but this particular teachers sticks out. I’m so happy to see your comment, because you do a great and under appreciated job.

I had a teacher like this in primary, her name was Gerda. She was the only one that treated me as a normal kid, i was troubled, got abused and neglected at home and didn't know how to socialize with other kids when all i wanted was to just fit in and be liked, i just didnt understand how. She always encouraged me, never made me feel like a lesser. When i went to High School, i kept visiting her until she retired. I don't know where she is now but i want to get back in contact with her, she has no idea how much it meant to me.

I have a teacher who also means the world to me and made the teachers from my primary who laughed at me and called me weird and just ignored the things that I truly loved and wanted to make my career be truly long gone as now I have someone who truly supports me. Ian Wright’s tough childhood having a great inspectional Teacher like Mr Pigden was a blessing and when Ian Wright took off his hat showed what a decent and respectful man he is. Ian Wright has proper ethics and is old school family man. A lot of respect for individuals like Mr Pigden and Ian

At the school I went to in Nottingham in the 70s the teachers there were hateful, and used to give us the cane Almost every day and seemed to enjoy doing that, I'm so glad you had the chance to have met Mr.Pigden, It would have been nice to know someone like that when I was a kid. Seeing that footage of Ian's connection with Mr Pigden makes me teary every time, in a good way. It's nice to see the impact that you can have in someone's life and it shows a lot how much it means to Ian all these years later.
