is it routine to be starting a rap carreer at his age (36). i find that interesting.
@eastonclark
@eastonclark 11 ай бұрын
@@barrysmith5830not really but hip hop/rap is only 50 years old. We haven’t even had the opportunity to see rappers get old. Nobody questions willie Nelson still performing, but people seem to think rappers have to be young. I think it’s just cuz we haven’t had the opportunity to even see a rapper get that old, and continue to perform. I mean, snoop is like the oldest we got and he’s only like 52. With so many rappers nowadays it’s a lot of talent that doesn’t get discovered, some quit just cuz they feel like they’re too old. Shit I feel like that, and I’m 28. But on the other hand yeah some dudes don’t get ‘discovered’ til they upper 30’s. I respect it, at the end of the day it’s an outlet ykno, if it’s a true emcee, we started for us anyways. Not caring or planning on ever even being heard. Then unfortunately some of us get lost in tryna appease listeners, and lose the love or passion. I do think it’s whack when people say shit like “I been rappin since I was 9” or whatever tf age, cuz the years don’t matter. The hours matter. Dudes been rappin since 9, I promise on my mothers life I’ve probably put in 3 times the amount of time. Not only on the mic, but battle rap. No beat. Type “Easton clark vs dk” or just “Easton clark vs” and it’ll show. Any wordsmith that understands rhyme patterns, multi syllables, internal schemes, they will be able to tell I’ve put in the hours. No disrespect to this dude - but I checked his music out, he prolly don’t even know what multi syllables are cuz he don’t do them. It basically means rhyming more than one word. It’s all good tho, I mean that ain’t everything. Average listener don’t even notice that anyways. Average listener don’t even care if they understand the words. They just want the vibe. My bad got kinda sidetracked I just heard him say he been rappin since he was 9 while I was writing this response and got annoyed asf cuz it’s such a rookie thing to say lol. He’s def a rapper. Not an emcee. There’s a big difference. Respect to him for tryna chase his dream still. Although as an artist I don’t think he has the obsession I do, and he’s over here talkin bout a manager he has. Some people rap cuz they want the clout, like they want what they see on tv. Cars and girls and shvt. It’s not an outlet it’s an attention grab. Just the way it seems, who am I to say.

My dad did ten years in rikers in the 90’s prolly the worst time to do time at dat facility and he did 4 years in the hole in total. He told me he dont understand how he even made it out of there alive with corruption from the guards too him getting cut & stabbed multiple times & stabbing multiple times leading him to the hole. Today he’s 50 and has changed his life around 5 cars nice big house w white picket fence & cut lawn etc I respect him the most because every time I hear of rikers especially back in the day it sounds like there’s really no way out you’ll either die in there or stay there forever not cus you want to but because they had really had no choice.

So weird hearing him say he went to Coxsackie Prison!!!! I grew up in Coxsackie and even lived I the house across the street from that prison on 9W... I fell asleep with the lights of the prison glowing in my window. Wild. Also, Greenville is the next town over next to Coxsackie (Graduated from Greenville) that's where the mix up was but there's no prison in Greenville, definitely thinking of Green Haven when it comes to the max prison.

He hit the nail on the head. The majority of the “gangsters “ were good people that became a product of their environment. The ones with parents that actually try to keep them on the straight and narrow have a huge uphill battle. It really is a shame these kids think murder and jail makes them a man.

If his mother is from Costa Rica then she isn't a U.S. Citizen by birth. If his father was Puerto Rican and was not married to his mother then she continues to not be a citizen. He said, she's an immigrant from Costa Rica. Having no papers maks sense in that situation. I'm Puerto Rican. Maybe his Nuyorican accent is different sounding or harder to understand for some people. Maybe I heard wrong but that sounds like what he said. I'd assume his father is Boricua....we eat Farina quite frequently.

I think that's one thing you can learn a bit from djvlad. just giving advice 🤷🏾‍♂

I feel there was alot of questions u could of asked, what happened before the interview he said he didn’t want to mention it but kept bringing it up, also said he had a lot of rikers stories, your follow up questions usually are on point, this guy didn’t seem to captivate your interest to much

Some people dance around Ian's question so much...just answer the question or don't but I hate when people just be all over the place and then don't even know where they going after they ramble for 5 mins
