worked on three prison situations and I have never heard of anybody having to have a search warrant for a cell we search sells all the time for contraband. I don’t think a convicted felon or somebody with Diddy past has any more right than any other criminal

I am not even a college graduate but um 😶 like why would you have any rights really if privacy to commit further crimes when you are in prison/jail? 🤔 THAT makes no sense. The laws need to change. You get basic human rights; edible food, safe water, basic shelter, bare bones basic medically necessary care. No root canals and crowns. They get extracted. Most ppl can’t afford to have that work done so why should a prisoner!

Jail staff can raid an inmate's cell whenever they have concerns. There is no privacy in jail, but with legal papers, he probably has a position he can argue. But, they weren't legal notes they found, he put the word LEGAL on the folders after he was raided. The judge caught him by comparing the pictures of the raid (they didn't remove anything from his cell at that point) - he changed the pad after the raid, and the judge noticed. Oops

I used to believe that convicts, or those in jail awaiting court dates or serving sentences, lost their rights as citizens to possess personal property. If any of those notes were in anything considered legal envelopes no one can read them. Even when inmates get legal paperwork the prison is only allowed to open the envelope or have the inmate open the envelope in front of them to make sure there is nothing illegal passed in, they are not allowed to read the documentation. Yes an inmate can expect their privacy greatly reduced but that does not count for their legal defense. The only thing I can think of of them taking a chance and reading his notes if they were in some sort of legal mail container, an envelope for example, is if they got a tip and then got a search warrant. Which is a possibility.

If Diddy's lawyers are in fact aiding and abetting By being directed to pay off witnesses, or relaying messages to his family, or friends in code...to destroy evidence, witnesses, etc...Finding extra phones, using other inmates phone privileges, to make party (multiple people on a single call at once.) calls from other inmates calls etc...there is no Right to anything other than person to person privacy meetings with his lawyer...If a crime is being requested that reflects his trial then prosecution has jurisdiction...If not, Prison rules would govern that would result in time in the hole...or jail within the jail secluded...

Todays prisons , though horrible in comparison to free folk living , is a detention center with incredible perks versus prison in the 40's, 50's , and even up to the 90's.
