What is an NDE?
A near-death experience (NDE) is typically a profound, life changing, intensely emotional experience that usually occurs during a clinical crisis and has common characteristics and aftereffects. It is not a dream, hallucination, or mental illness (Greyson, 1983). There are no predictive variables to identify who will have an NDE. They happen to people of all ages, religions, socio-economic groups, cultures, educational backgrounds, and belief systems. They occur under a variety of circumstances such as accidents, near-drownings, illnesses, combat, surgical procedures, and childbirth. Following an NDE, experiencers (NDErs) often display some common aftereffects. Research has established a set of common NDE characteristics and long-term aftereffects. Theories used to explain near-death experiences in purely physical terms have been proven inadequate by NDE researchers and others.

When my mother died, she was passing, I was alone with her, I had 6 siblings visiting who at that moment in time where gone to a concert, I had stayed home with mom, and I asked her to just wait until they got home, so I would not be alone. She smiled, and waited and 15 minutes after the last one arrived to the house (I left messages to come strait home) she passed. The last thing she said was "Dying is beautiful, don't worry." to me. But only me. I am so grateful for this gift. I lost a husband and son since her passing and I still remember her smile and waiting, and that last gift.

I’m a 64 year old man. I suffer with depression, anxiety and a trapped nerve in my lower back. I’m lonely as I live alone and can’t focus on life. Around a month ago at 11pm on a Saturday night, I tried to take my life. I used a rope in my bathroom. I put it around my neck and leant into it. After around 30 seconds my head went hot and my neck pumped. I was struggling to breathe, but felt ok. I thought ‘I’m going now’. But then, the rope came undone. I fell to the floors with a sore throat. After a few minutes. I got up and went to bed. After around ten minutes in bed, a Facebook friend, that I’ve never met, messaged me. She asked if I was okay? I asked her why she was asking and she said she felt she needed to ask. That cannot be coincidence. I’m not religious. How did she know I tried to take my life? I asked for her number and we spoke for around an hour. She probably saved me. I called my GP and got help the following day. Very odd and makes me wonder if I have a purpose here. Also. Who undid the rope?

Dear Niptodstan, every person on earth has a purpose and mission here on earth. Each person is here for a unique reason and there are no coincidences. Everything that happens, happens for a higher purpose. Your soul has chosen for you to be here and you are not separate from your soul. You wanted to be here when you were in spirit and could not wait to get here. I am hoping what happened that Saturday night was an Awakening moment for you, and you will begin to live each NOW moment with purpose. Thank you for sharing. Much Love & Appreciation🌹🙏💖

Jesus Christ is everlasting life and life is in Jesus only. All religions are against God/Jesus Christ! Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God and all things were created by Him! Jesus Christ has nothing to do with any religion, philosophy, etc. If a person wants to be with God, then it is possible only through Jesus Christ - Bible, Gospel of John 14-6, Jesus: "I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father, except through me." Gospel of Matthew 12-30, Jesus: "He who is not with me is against me." Gospel of Matthew 11-27, Jesus: "All things have been delivered to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son." All religions - Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Atheism, Agnosticism, Animism, etc.- are unclean satanic pagan religious doctrines. Accepting any religious doctrine is equivalent to accepting the image of the beast. All religions, philosophies, etc. are based on pagan satanic unclean doctrines (filthy pagan demonic doctrines - yoga, reincarnation, karma, nirvana, Darwinism etc.), and if you accept any religious doctrine, you are a pagan, which itself means you are committing a mortal sin. All religions are satanic lies and pagan cults! The word "religion" means "cult service" , and under religion must be considered all doctrines that preach cult sevice (including atheism, agnosticism, etc.). So be careful because religions are weapons in the hands of the devil!

I drowned in the spring of 1968. I was learning to surf. Initially I fought to get to the surface , however I realized that I was not going to reach it. The fear turned into this incredible serenity and I became surrounded with light. Our vocabulary cannot describe what I was feeling. A voice said, you have to go back and I replied, I don't want to go. The voice then said, you must, because you haven't finished what I sent you to do. I do have a soul, my body is the vehicle I use to experience the physical world. There is no time in the "spirit" realm. It is only NOW!

I had a very similar drowning experience while caught in an undertow in the surf at Half Moon Bay. At 16 yo. I was caught in an inescapable agitation like a washing machine with my head gridding into the sand of the ocean floor. My contemplation of the reality that my life is wrapping up in that moment amazed me tho I felt deeply peaceful and aware of an intense love and acceptance within and without. Suddenly, my husband grabbed me, I looked up to the sun and surface of the water but this huge wave was breaking right over me so my husband let go of me. He didn’t want that wave to take us both so again my hope of survival failed me. Once the wave crashed over me and swept me in a little, he got hold of me again and pulled me to shore. (Someone who loves us all is right there in our final breath and whoever they are...they’re taking us somewhere AWESOME)!

I still hear his voice telling me to hurry back when he was close to dying. He didn't want to be alone. If he needed food or I needed to go to the bathroom, he would say, "Hurry back!" then call me while I was gone. I still hear his voice saying, "Hurry back." I miss him so much!

My mom told me that she had "died" during childbirth with me, and that she had traveled through the tunnel of light and gone to heaven. She told me about seeing deceased relatives and being overjoyed that she was there, but then being told she couldn't stay there. She said she was FURIOUS that she was being sent back, and pleaded with God not to send her back, but she found herself back in the hospital, angry now with the doctors who had saved her life. She told me that story over and over through the decades. She insisted that what she had experienced was FAR more real than this life. She would always finish it by telling me that she was no longer afraid of death at all, and in fact knew EXACTLY where she would be going and who she would see, and said that she looked forward to it. My mom passed away a little over a year before my dad. One day while he was still alive, I asked him if he ever got sick of hearing that story, over and over, about her dying in childbirth, and he was shocked . . . he said he had never heard that story even once. I just find it very amazing that she would share it so much with me, but not at all with my dad. And now they are together - probably laughing about her secret.

Than you for sharing your NDE and all the aftermath. I'm 71. When I was 18 in high school, I was on a camping outing at a lake with classmates. I am not a good swimmer, but could dog paddle. I was dog paddling to shore and thought I had made it to shallow water so I took a much needed breath. I misjudged the depth, and as I took a breath I went under. I tried floating on my back, but the water had choked me and I could not stay above the water. I went down 3 times. On the fourth time, I had expended 100 of effort and I calming acknowledged to myself that my next breath would be water and it would be over. I let go and felt as though I was going up. I could feel the warmth of the Sun. Suddenly a classmate grabbed me around the neck and pulled me to safety. Thank you Mike Howerton. You saved my life. Three children exist because of your heroic action. From that day, I have felt I was on barrowed time and have a special gift of thankfulness and appreciation from experiencing my NDE.

Ive always had questions and doubt in things. Not religious and never went to church. Ive always believed in the science of things that can be proven. Recently i lost my wonderful parents 5 months apart. They were married 50 yrs and absolutely loved one another so much. ( both were 69). I knew when my mom passed of breast cancer that my dad would soon follow. 5 months later he is indeed in the hospital septic from necrotic gallbladder and multi organ failure. ( his body just seems to have suddenly gave up and shut down) 😒 The day before he passed he kept asking me, my brother, all the Drs & nurses if they "could see that?" And motioned toward the ceiling. We kept looking up ( seeing nothing) but for 2 days he was so persistent that we just eventually told him yes as he was getting frustrated that we couldnt see the "lights and colors floating around". The day he passed he told me he was sorry that he wasn't going to make it because it was too late to fix him. We told him not to talk like that and he would get better as soon as Drs got that necrotic gallbladder out. My dad had severe rheumatoid arthritis since age 27 and hadnt been able to lift his arms for years due to his shoulder joints being eroded, but as he was dying he lifted both arms towards the ceiling as if he was reaching for something and he was moving his hands together as if he was working with something and he said "hold on Brenda ( my moms name) im trying to get it open, im coming" and he kept his arms outreached like he was trying to open something and he passed. 😞 im so glad i had others in the room to witness this and i recorded some of it with my phone or no one would have believed it. I wouldnt either. If you knew my dad and witnessed how bad he suffered the last few yrs not being able to lift his arms to drive or anything due to shoukder joint erosion you'd know what a huge miracle this was. He very clearly was reaching for something to let him be with my mom as he was telling her he was coming as soon as he gets it open. Witnessing this is why im here watching these videos now. I definitely now believe there is something more than this existence as we know it here on Earth. Thx for listening.

My grandpa, when he was in his hospital room dying, would ask us if we "could see that?" Or "could we see how beautiful it is?" As he looked out the window in his room. Of course, he was on the seventh floor of this very expansive hospital system in the middle of the city part of where we live, so actually all one could see from his window was a brick wall for another part of the hospital. Not the sky. Not trees, or any land. Just a brick wall. But as he looked out that window, one could tell by the look on his face that whatever he saw was very beautiful and he was immersed in it. He also spoke with people who had been long dead. His brother mainly, but some others as well. His eyes would be open and there were many of us around his bed, but it was obvious he no longer saw us. He would have a full conversation with his brother, who had been gone for many years, and be looking right at you, but clearly not seeing you. He would speak about he and his brother building something. But as he grew closer to death, it was whatever he saw outside his window that had his attention and he described it as beautiful. When he kept asking if we saw it, which indicates that he knew we were there, we took eventually said yes. But we were all looking at a brick wall, whereas I believe he was already seeing heaven.

@@kenoneill8783 Doesn't matter if you're talking about Dr Raymond Moody or Alexander as I mentioned both of them above and you didn't specify, because obviously this is all anecdotal evidence as far as near-death experiences. There's no independently verifiable evidence or additional witnesses for a singular experience. Other than the witnesses accounting for what the NDE people say about different parts of the hospital or what was going on in other rooms as it would have been impossible to know unless you had an out-of-body experience and were still conscious in your spiritual form or whatever you want to call it. You can read Mr Alexander's book or Moody's but I think Jeffrey Long has done the best work... The most comprehensive in the field. It's like UFOs. People will lie about seeing them. And yet there's enough honest people to be unable to discount the stories, certainly not all of them. And actually there have been mass sightings anyway. NDEs are person to person. What would be fascinating is if there could be a controlled experiment or even if only by chance the death of two or three people at the same time and what their experiences are like on the other side. Also in emergency rooms there should be setups that are changed daily for near death experience people to account for them, Like some code or picture or some object that would be changed from day to day and impossible for somebody to see that's dying in a room next door and eventually that emergency room could have that account. And duplicated eventually over time because there have been millions and millions of these cases. I remember a number of 13 million but that might have been decades ago and only for America and only that which was documented. Tens of millions more around the world.

Dear Dinese, I know exactly how you feel. My 29 year old son transitioned 9 years ago and my 42 year old daughter transitioned 6 months ago. I was at peace when they both transitioned because I know there is no such thing as death. I know that it was a soul plan we made before my birth and I have never feared death. I know they are both very much still with me always. Thank you so much for sharing! Much Love & Appreciation🌹🙏💖

I began when I lost my beautiful 19yr old son to fentanyl 4/8/2022. These NDE’s from people like this good man, Eben Alexander, Pam Reynolds, etc., has helped so much. I enjoy their accounts of what took place and enjoy the matching characteristics across most NDE’s. I also like that most were skeptics before the NDE, most don’t push a “religious” agenda/theme. Seems most claim it to be entry into a soul realm/ spiritual realm/world of light, love, energy, etc., I don’t believe we go on, I KNOW we go on after this material life. I’ve had sone very obvious signs from my son and know our souls will be together in the next life.

When Dr Cummings spoke about when he would try to tell people about his experiences, and would be met with comments like "let's go get a beer"; it reminded me of my favourite piece of writing from Stephen King which speaks to this exactly. It's the opening to his short story The Body, which is what the movie Stand By Me was based on. It goes like this: "The most important things are the hardest things to say. They are the things you get ashamed of, because words diminish them--words shrink things that seemed limitless when they were in your head to no more than living size when they're brought out. But it's more than that, isn't it? The most important things lie too close to wherever your secret heart is buried, like landmarks to a treasure your enemies would love to steal away. And you may make revelations that cost you dearly only to have people look at you in a funny way, not understanding what you've said at all, or why you thought it was so important that you almost cried while you were saying it. That's the worst, I think. When the secret stays locked within not for want of a teller but for want of an understanding ear."

Beautiful rendition of Stephen King! I remember William Golding's apt expression: 'Language fits over experience like a straitjacket.' 'Let's go get a beer:' I've had the same reaction; it's a hot potato, a lot of people can't handle it. Also, two experiencer's come to my mind, that King intimates, of the frustration that occurs: 'The experience lies far beyond my command of words and loses so much in the telling;' and another, 'Words fall lamentably short of true expression.'

When I had my appendix removed at age 21, I remember seeing my body in the operating table and me floating above it. I remember being able to instantly be where my mom and sister were talking in the hospital waiting room. And as soon as I thought of my dad I was present with him and his wife in Vegas as they unloaded groceries. I was in NJ at the time. I heard every conversation and was able to confirm they were real conversations and exactly what they were doing a day after my surgery, so I confirmed it wasn’t my imagination. That’s all I saw, then I remember waking up in the recovery room with my mom and sister over me but there was an older gentleman dressed in all white who actually looked like Kenny Rogers, he said he was taking care of me and would make sure I’d be ok. Only I saw him. No one ever saw this man and my mom and sister or hospital staff said that no one who looked like that worked there at the time. That’s the extent of my experience.

Dear Dr Cummings. Really enjoyed hearing your experience. My OBE was 50 yrs ago. I traveled thru the tunnel into the light and spoke w Jesus and was asked if I wanted to return. At that time I had 2 young children. My daughter is now a MD and my son is the CFO of a fortune 500 company. I knew they needed me. My quest to learn more has continued for 50 yrs. I think my best advice to anyone seeking more is simply to ask. It will continuously be provided and enjoy the experience. My question to "God and the Goodness of the Universe" at my age of 71 is "why have I been so fortunate to be given all the this knowledge". It all continues..... Thank you and wishing you a beautiful journey.💞

My dear friend, everything that IANDS said to you is 100% correct. You have no need to Fear the normal transition we call 'death'. People of ALL faiths believe differently - even within a specific faith people believe differently. The truth is that we are ALL going to the same place - into God's Presence. God doesn't care (in this life) what you are believing, doing, or having. The ONLY matter of concern is what you are BEING. So embrace your experiences (whether you judge them good or bad) because it is your experiences that create your BEINGNESS. You will 'see' your kindred souls again. Just the thought of them brings them to you - even if they are at the end of the Universe. God has said 360 times (in just the bible) to "Fear not". If you cannot trust God, I guess you would have a problem. Whether you know it or not or like it or not - you are in the most capable and loving 'hands' in all of existence. Of 15 years of a close personal relationship with God He/She/It has shown me NOTHING BUT Love and Humor. Try to get closer to Him and I guarantee that He will help you through ANYTHING. Peace unto you brother and God bless you.

Keep watching these types of videos and maybe pick up a copy of Raymond Moody's book Life After Life. He's a doctor that noticed early in his career that a few of his patients had these kinds of experiences. He went on to do many case studies and then wrote that book about the experience. I think you'll find yourself very comforted by a bit of study on 'going home'. We don't have to be afraid and I think you found this video for a reason, to help you find some peace and understanding.

Very interesting experience and I can relate. - I had a couple of visits to the other side last summer when I had a brain infection plus multiple internal infections from a flea bite(!) and died twice. They revived me, and I easily remembered the trips to the other side, but not the my physical situation in the hospital. I was non-responsive for ten days in ICU as the doctors tried to figure out what was wrong with me. But I was fine in other terms: I was in a state of pure consciousness, a disembodied mind divorced from the physical reality, with my sense of identity intact. Of course, I couldn't have told you how long I was in that state because physical reality did not exist for me. I had to rely on family, care givers and friends to fill in the blanks of my experiences, and ground me in the physical world as I recovered use of my body and brain again. I identify with your discussion of the lost sense of time - I still have no real anchor in time - have to check clocks constantly. I've learned to turn on timers to function. Like you, I start a conversation and forget all other claims on my time or what I was doing or need to do... I go down rabbit holes and forget to come up. Sometimes it may be for ten minutes, other times it may be three or four hours. I am lost in terms of time - it's like my space on the spiderweb of connection to this world has been torn in places and I'm dangling. I feel like a visitor here - not a resident. I live alone and am 78 years old. I had been very healthy, vital, taking care of my house and yard maintenance, driving 1400 miles to visit family without a concern;, could even navigate Dallas traffic with no problem! After this interruption and expansion of my awareness, I am not the same person in many psychological, physical, and emotional ways. It's been interesting and a struggle to reintegrate back into my body and the physical world - and a sense of time and space.

So happy to see this! My NDE was in 2008. True story; Dr. Jan Holden was my professor in the 1990s... at that time I was earning my Masters degree. She was by far the best professor in that program. I knew she did some “ past life stuff”... but it was never the focus of my counseling studies. I was in “ career mode” full tilt. Fast forward to 2008... had the NDE in suburban Washington D.C. Fast forward about 5 years... I was back in Texas and struggling to cope with the after effects of the NDE. I can’t remember why... but somehow, I came across her name( perhaps online)... and thought ... omg, I could see if I could tell her about this. No one understands it! People think you’re nuts. It’s so isolating and this was before everyone had NDE videos on KZbin. Thank God for Jan! I went to see her, attended an NDE group which she led, got books and resources, and was able to incorporate the experience. That said, I’ve never been the same! I was a career woman. After the NDE, I found myself adrift in that world. After many years, I stopped working in counseling... and I’m now an artist. My 27 year marriage did not survive it... but this happens. It’s the hardest part... my ex and I tried.... but drifted apart over the post NDE years. The NDE was very long... life review, all kinds of details... but it was a soul changing evolution for me. It’s not “ easy” . That’s the myth! Life on earth seems pretty brutal after seeing the other side... the most unconditional mind blowing love is experienced. Earthly life is just so different. But there is a purpose... to all things. We cannot grasp them very often in this form. Art puts me in “ flow state” and saved my sanity and makes me very joyful. The rest is still very mysterious to me. Bless you Peter! And thank heavens for Dr. Jan Holden. What a gift she is to all of us!!! I love her so much!🥰

I've struggled for a long time and I'm in poor health, complications from Covid. It wrecked my body. I'm 65 now, will be 66 on October 13th. I wish I knew what my purpose for being here is. I don't know what more i could learn. I'm just tired tired of being in pain every day tired of feeling unwell every day. This has been going on constantly for 2 and a half yrs now and the doctors don't listen. All they want to do is give me all kinds of pills. I refuse to take them. The side effects are horrendous and I have the type of system that gets the side effects. I already feel bad I don't want to feel worse! I would just like to give up but I have 3 kids and 5 g'daughters that holds me here. I'm ready when God's ready!!.... I don't know what possessed me to write this. I'm a pretty much private person. We all have a purpose. I know doctors don’t all have the answers and tend to be ego-driven. I hope you’re feeling better these days. I appreciate your message. Try to do things that make you happy. Things that will take your mind off the pain. Maybe you can explain to your doctor how you have side effects with certain medication. He may tell you to take less of it to alleviate some of the pain. Spend as much time as you can with family members and cherish the things in life people take for granted. I will say a prayer for you. Even though we’ll never meet, I’m touched by your story and wish you peace and happiness. ❤

I absolutely LOVE these NDE's where the person having one is a hardcore materialistic atheist and"non-believer"of spiritual things....it tickles me pink to see how they react when they finally find out what life is all about...they finally "get it" and then they usually change the way they live their lives dramatically...most scientists and medical people fall into this category...they think that they are so smart+ intelligent..but in reality they know very little about how life works....most are just ignorant fools...("smart" fools!) I also found it quite interesting when he said that most people are living in the PAST or FUTURE and missing the PRESENT moment...this is very true....we have 3 channels in our "subtle body" within our physical one...people stuck in the left channel are living in the past....the ones in the right channel are thinking of the future all of the time...the secret is to be in the center channel ...which is the present moment....the goal is to live in the NOW...its the only thing that is REAL! Namaste.

The ancient Rishis worked a lot of things out without test tubes and laboratories thousands of years ago. And now I see quantum science reflecting some of their revelations. It amuses, and frustrates me that western science, being the fledgling that it is, is so impressed with themselves coming to revelations that were accessed thousands of years ago. I have had a lot of successful Tibetan medical treatments, where western medicine did absolutely nothing, because they didn't know how the ecosystem of our incarnate existence works. I have even had a couple from the Dalai Lama's personal physician, Tenzin Thye. I don't use the spelling "Holistic". I use the spelling "Wholistic". It's more accurate. And it works, regardless of what the profit driven, material body, pharmaceutical industry says. Even Tenzin Thye said as he waved his hand at his head "Nothing change up here..." then waved at his body "Nothing change down here... You KNOW this!" I had one western medical professional say to me "I prefer to go with peer reviewed and tested medical procedures." I asked him if he thought the Blue Buddha Tibetan medical system had never been tested or peer reviewed in 2500 years. That caught him off-guard. And the reason is... embedded white supremacy attitudes and profiting from medical systems. That is all. The issues with the ancient medical knowledge suffering at the hands of western quackery, is also profit driven. Appropriation with careless regard, and misappropriation. And this is a huge problem in finding truth leading to health and contentment. I am not anti-western medicine. I am very grateful for antibiotics and for the hysterectomy, and tumour removal I had. I just wish there was more respect from all ideologies concerning healing, and more interwoven treatments, rather than all the division. And more emphasis on the true nature of reality, which is, as you said, the now, and all the related beneficial ways in which that can heal people.

She told me to not be sad or afraid for her because she is going to a wonderful place. This video has helped me find some peace with what Mom is experiencing. Very interesting. Thank you for sharing this. You spoke about how we hide death now. You have a funeral and then people go about their lives. Many years ago in my hometown of Philadelphia, German and especially Irish families would "wake" their departed loved ones. One day my dad was telling my sister and me about a woman who lived in out house in 1920s. When she died, her family laid her out in our living room by the staircase and friends and family basically had a party. My sister was stunned to learn that a dead person had been in our house. My dad informed he that in those days, death was a part of life.

What a profound and life-changing statement Dr. Cummings made in this video: "No amount of worry will transform your future. No amount of grief will fix your past. You just have to be where you are right now." If I could take slight liberties with this quote (I hope that's ok, Dr. Cummings" I would change the word "grief" to "guilt" (or add the word "guilt" to the sentence) because that is what I struggle with frequently: fear/worry about the future and guilt about mistakes I made in the past. Realizing that worry will not transform the future and guilt (and grief about losses) won't fix the past is extraordinary. The present moment then opens with endless possibilities. This is very liberating. Thank you so much.

Same here 55-60mph. I was in a small Toyota pickup truck. The tree made an indentation on the front end, pushed the engine in to the cab and broke both of my legs. There were two gentlemen (one happened to be my former employer) who came to help me and they didn't think I would make it. I was flown to a hospital in Greenville NC and we lived near the VA/NC border. I don't remember most of my time there and I didn't have a NDE at that time but did on Aug 2021. Anyhow, I had to learn how to walk again starting with the leg that was least damaged. So it took me approximately 8-9 months to be able to walk again. "Thanks for sharing your NDE for us who wish we could have one just to be able to see beyond the veil.." Be careful about, what you wish for, my friend! You don't really want to nearly die, to know the truth, do you? And you don't have to! There are other ways to "look behind the veil": Start to fulfill your life's purpose by searching for the truth of God through sincere repentance of sins (moral mistakes) and by practising righteousness - improve yourself morally, because that's, what we're all here to learn. - And if you do so, and keep at it, even though you occasionally fail at it, then you'll find the truth of God, which will be gradually revealed to you, as you improve morally; which we all needs to do, to fulfill this, the true purpose of the many physical lives, we live. To practise righteousness, you must strive to eventually master the moral ideal of God: "You shall not do unto others, as you would not, that others should do unto you. You shall do unto others, as you would, that others should do unto you." (Jesus) - which is the same as: "Love thy neighbour as thyself." Only to those, who seek the truth of God like this, will the truth gradually be revealed! "Seek, and you shall find." (Jesus) - i know, that this is true, because that's how, I found the truth of God! "The one, who seeks the truth, is also the one, who reveals it." (Jesus)

@@KohalaLover well put. It’s fascinating to read the comments sections on these videos. Especially one as profound as this. Almost without a doubt you always find a comment from someone similar to the one you brought attention to. They stick out like a sore thumb amongst the comments that trend closer to the very experience that was shared. It’s a mix of a warning and of them teaching as if they are god. To be clear I don’t think they are being that way in a knowingly negative way. The ironic thing is all those types of comments do is bolster and clarify what seems to be the universe messages that real experiences bring back. They will get there some day and I would like to think they are trying for the right reasons but it’s hard not to read them and think how do you watch something like this and respond to someone like that? My dad had a NDE back in 1985. It has influenced me for the remainder of my life. He described leaving his body etc. This factor and many others have led me down a path that has lead to so many hair-raising and mystical experiences. All of our lives have deep and profound meaning. Hang in there, people. We're all on a journey.

Peter I experienced many of the same things as you, the death, the light and trying to explain it to others. I have an ability that is growing, I can see your aura. You’ve a light around you and it’s very visible especially around your head. ALLS GOOD

@@M.Moadeli123 oh I see that was a year ago and this stuff is happening all the time, so much that I’ve had to consciously not look at the details as I’ve almost crashed the car and have driven in the wrong direction as I wasn’t focusing on my driving. But I don’t remember green. I’m happy to simply see the light and focus more when I’m in a safe place and no danger of hurting myself or others. Enjoying meeting people and helping them with practical solutions to various problems. Getting better at understanding everything each day. 🌟

As many here, I also experienced something about 10 years ago. I have a question and a comment. Yes, I think you had a brain injury. Question: I've heard that the brain doesn't stop for like 15 minutes after death. Do you know anything about that? I, too, was not euphoric to return after my experience. I saw my husband from above crying quietly, and I felt like he needed me too much. Mine happened somewhere during brain surgery for a big bleed, seizures that couldn't be stopped, and the induced coma. The things that are common in all our experiences are the profound unconditional love and peace. Thanks for sharing your study and perspectives on it.

Gosh, I needed to see this. This is the first time I have seen such transparency in a health care professional. As a pediatric PT, I feel like we are conditioned to put on that poker face. I appreciate your words Peter more than you will ever know. I am curious how long it took you to make sense of what happened to you?

Please have him back for a longer more detailed video. This was fantastic. Im taking care of my dad at his home 24/7. I'm told he has just weeks left. I'm tormented by my racing thoughts of seeing him go in all kinds of terrible ways. I'm told it might not be peaceful one bit. If the heart stops, you can't breath. You can lay there for 20-30 sec fully alert unable to breath! It's these possibilities that literally hit me as like flashbacks of torture. I can't stop them. I'm always in tears. Steady. So, this video gave me some relief tonight. I will watch many more on this channel. I feel I need to hear these things. No one mentioned anything about the pain or torture in that second of actual death. That has brought me big relief. Thank you for interviewing this great doctor. Sorry to say but I can only believe the doctors and scientists.

Dear Asil, from my understanding, when a person transitions there is no pain. Their soul is half here and half on the other side. Many NDErs say how quickly there is no pain. Even people who die very sudden in a accident. They feel no pain. I hope this helps. Much Love & Appreciation🌹🙏💖

I am not a believer of any sort, and I find myself moved by Peter's story. The "knowing" that he experienced is the one comforting thing about the tale from my perspective. Rarely (if ever) during our human experience do we feel that deep connection with everything. That experience is the one common thread I hear in stories like this one that intrigues me and makes me hopeful that we truly are energetic beings having a physical, human experience. Best wishes to Peter and his family (and to you all).

Dear D Vance, we are energic beings of light. This has been proven scientifically. Quantum physics teaches us that everything is the SAME energy vibrating at difference frequencies. Meaning everything is ONE THING! Everything is interconnected and interdependent. We are all ONE with God and all ONE with each other. Ancient wisdom and Spirituality has been teaching the Universal Truth of Oneness for eons, and science has been teaching us this for over 100 years. It was science that inspired my spiritual awakening, because now science and spirituality are teaching us the exact same thing. Thank you for sharing your thoughts and comment. Much Love & Appreciation🌹🙏💖

‘How should one expect death?’ ‘Abdu’l-Bahá replied: ‘How do you expect the end of any journey, with hope and expectation. The same is true with the end of this earthly journey. In the next world, man will be freed from many disabilities he now suffers. ... it is sanctified from what we call time and place. ... Those who have ascended have different attributes (conditions) from those still on earth, yet there is no real separation. ... Pray for them as they pray for you.’”
