This is a great tutorial, thanks! One thing to note around shutter speed is that there is technically a 'correct' value to aim for - this is not an arbitrary decision. For the most realistic motion blur in an image, the denominator in your shutter speed should be double the frame rate. So for 60fps, your shutter speed should be 1/120. In order to achieve this without overexposing your image, you'll likely need to use ND filters.

Thanks a lot Ian, just had the Mini 3 Pro as a Christmas gift which is amazing and so far I'm very happy about it. Your video is filling many little gaps here and there as I come from a Mavic 2 Pro menu :)

@ClaudioDesideriFilms Жыл бұрын
@Ian in London ahaha exactly Ian. It's so light in your hands it feels like "omg I'm gonna break this thing". Then you put it up in the air and the image quality is as great as the Mavic 2 which was very surprising. Also, I tested it up on Malvern Hills in strong wind conditions and it could handle it pretty darn well which is another unexpected superpower. When the drone is on and sitting for too long, it overheats and shut down after only few mins and it's annoying, especially when you are setting it up for the first time or transferring files. How did you manage to keep yours cool while recording this video?

Came here to try and understand what the default settings should be for this, as when I flew yesterday everything was bright white I could barely fly. Eventually discovered the sliders to change ISO and shutter and guessed some values that made it look better (know nothing about photography). Now I've realised I must have accidentally put PRO mode on, will switch back to auto next time but definitely need to try and learn more about these settings, this video has been a great insight - thanks!

1. For smooth movements leave the EXP to 0.43...Or will react strange after you pass middle point. 2. Use H265, D-Cine....at least is 10bit, can save some DR from what is cut by the Limited RGB in drone. 3. Use -1 Noise and -1 Sharp. 4. Use 4:3 full sensor. You choose where to crop it. But is full sensor used. 5. All settings on Manual, pay attention to Histogram. 6. Use as much as you can over 48 FPS in order to exit that stupid so called HDR in-sensor...is ghosting a lot at low light...a lot. Simple as that. Cheers.

Many thanks for your great vid, subscribed. My mini3pro choices (photo/video): underexpose -1/3 or -2/3 EV to avoid burned areas, manual WB for sure (but fine tuned in post prod), and to max out settings for better post prod: RAW 4:3 format 48mpix & D-cine like (LOG) 4K 30fps HDR (smoother side travelling & no HDR when 60fps). Easier with the ND filters for both photo/video modes, considering the fixed f1.7 aperture, when bright sunny day (but also during the marvellous golden hour just after sunrise or before sunset, to reach -1/3 EV).
