It’s great that the Avata 2 nows works with the older goggles, remote and motion controller, but I cannot stress enough how much better the new motion controller and Goggles 3 are, in every way. Very happy I upgraded, worth every cent. Quality, comfort, ease of operation, and a really nice bag to boot. Thanks Ian, will attempt the upgrade in a day or 2, as it seems most people are unable to upgrade at this time.

I bought the Avata 2 combo pack… well worth it, and the new integrated battery pack in headband is so much better…. As is the easy acro mode…. I do think the turtle mode needs a shortcut button on the motion controller tho

Hi Ian, did you get sent a pre release version of the new release, I have downloaded the latest version of DJI assistan2 for consumer drones but no updateds appear for either my goggles2, love stick 2 or controller.

Try connecting to your Fly App via your phone and check for updates. It is there.....

hmmm....no luck yet with update...its not showing on fly app and my Mac won't let me download anything from ddi...says unknown source...never straightforward is it!

No, unsure why they role things out slowly... Make sure your fly app is up to date and use that to check for new updates through it's settings menu

Update is useless because you cannot use the Goggles 3 with the Motion 2 or DJI FPV 2 unless you use them with the Integra Goggles or Goggles 2. Takes the Goggles 3 out the picture except with the MC 3 and FPV 3 controllers. Let the Goggles 3 work with the OC 3 (DJI FPV 2) - Better Goggles in the 3 and they will sell more th FPV OC3 Builders! Bad Form DJI...
