Why IPS over IAS ? 1. Uniformed services have their own charm - if uniform attracts you - IPS is most suitable. 2. Individually IPS is more powerful post because your power and span of control increases tangibly with each promotion (unlike IAS which peaks at DM post and again 15 20 yrs later at Secretary level). 3. Adventurous and tough life - if challenges attracts you and iffff you can prioritize work passion over anything else than IPS is better choice for you. 4. If you want to improve your specialisation in one particular area,rather than being jack of all trades - IPS is more better. 5. If you feel Police is an area which need more better and ground sensitive officers - come and join IPS. 6. If you wish to join CAPFs, CBI, IB , RAW , SPG, NSG , ATS, STFs etc at top levels - welcome to IPS. 7. If you are a technology freak especially Cyber Security related - IPS will give you adequate space to exercise and evolve that. 8. In future powers of IPS will definitely going to increase further, like increasing numbers of commissionerates in states, Era of specialization, increasing crimes in the society and opening up of secretary level posts by government to Non-IAS services talent etc. 9. Lastly TRAINING of IPS is one of the best phase of one's life. No other service training matches regour and charm of IPS training at SVPNPA - it brings OFFICER out of Aspirant. Your own personality increases by leaps and bounds. Anyone seeing you standing will recognize that you are an OFFICER because of your deeply engraved OLQs gifted by NPA. No other training improves you so much as a personality including that of IAS. Reasons of why IAS over IPS already told in the video, most are true in practical sense. So choose what is best for you. The one bad thing of non commissionerate system is that The Sp of district cannot take independent decisions related to crime law management etc this is very bad thing according to me because in any district an ips handles all of the crime control and maintaining peace etc so my question is that why don't he has the power to take independent decisions . When all of the things regarding to the law and crime he maintains then the Dm should not be given power to interfere in Sp decisions as he has his own way of handling crime and law etc . Actually I saw a lot of videos related to this . because 3_4 years ago IPS Officer Ajaypal Sharma transfers some police officers without take the permission of the Dm then Dm Got his Ego burnt and The whole matter got Very big .All The Ips And Ias Lobby Come alongside ....Then I Agree with The IPS OFFICERS LOBBY THAT IN ANY DISTRICT AN SP handles all the law and order situations as DM don't come along with the police in the night to (Ghast) in Hindi and all the law and orde issue handling An Sp so why don't an he has an independent power to transfer any Officer as he has to handle the situation alone with its own way of working ..... Everyone in comment saying IPS will keep IAS as first preference I can bet 😂✌️ who don't needs edge IPS is concentrated police brute force but IAS is distributed power which is less on par to IPS police concentrated power but you have variety in every sector whereas IAS you can experience different fields So IPS is a track focused Ninja h2r which is way more powerful on tracks (police brute force) but can't run legally on roads, terrains, muddy hilly areas and off roads like Ducati multistrada (IAS) which can run everywhere but with less power compared to track monster h2r hope you get it 😂✌️
