Ive been looking into adding an up front sub in the future, good to know it can minimize the rattles in my doors and assist with that impact, I don’t wanna cut any holes in my truck.. thanks for posting this! Congrats to the winner as well 👑
@Ahm-Creative2 ай бұрын
@@SQ_Silverado I considered a front sub too, but I'm getting a lot of impact from my doors and I actually tamed my rattles. But if I hadn't, I'd definitely be looking into it. Have you installed your 8's yet? I've been looking forward to it.

@@Ahm-CreativeYes. Great to learn what a judge is listening for, but driver treatment and loudness was my biggest takeaway. We briefly discussed that before. Can’t wait for part two

I appreciate your message on when to be satisfied and enjoy your music Iam trying to close it out for a while. My last piece of to bring closure is to get or transform my phone 📞 to Digital Audio Player I see the DAP range from 50.00-500.00 and upI have a good DAC thanks to you. Can you me finish so I can into the relaxation mode.
@Ahm-Creative2 ай бұрын
😂😂 brotha I've been trying to relax and enjoy my system for 3-years now, but I am FINALLY there and am fully enjoying it. No more tuning, no more building, just listening and smiling 😁 As for turning your phone into your DAP, I'd consider adding a Dac Dongle. I have an Astell&Kern PEE51 (discontinued) but I believe their HC3 is just as good, and it provides a great upgrade to the audio of most phones.
@alfredbrown96002 ай бұрын
@@Ahm-Creative I was saying you got me hooked With a good DAC Now just need a DAP player I was just thinking is their a great difference between a 50.00 DAP and 500.00 since I have a good digital to analog converter in my DAC unit.
@Ahm-Creative2 ай бұрын
@alfredbrown9600 ohhh...absolutely! I went from my Astell&Kern to the Fiio M11S.... waaaaay smoother and more refined. It's not as processed as the Astell&Kern is to me, plus the Fiio has a bigger battery and dac chip amp, so it plays louder, yet is still smooth. I think you'll notice a positive difference immediately.

There's something i can't seem to get any info on. I know my dsp has a clip indicator, but im wondering does it measure the clipping when you start boosting and cutting frequencies. My friend took his out because he kept blowing speakers. I told him i think his problem was he wanted it louder and was boosting frequencies to compensate for the lack of headroom. I told him he might need 75watts to 100 for his mids and use his current 35x4 amp to run his tweets. His front stage can't is getting drowned out by the subs.
@Ahm-Creative2 ай бұрын
@@L-Booggie you are correct on all fronts. Boosting frequencies can act like volume, and your dsp is recognizing the distortion. I knew a Cat that boosted EVERY frequency in his head unit, and on volume 1, it was at max. Everything above 1 was pure distortion, and it was either volume 1 at max, or nothing... there was no lower volume in between. As for your friend, yes, 35watts on tweeters is more than enough and more power should be dedicated to mids or mid bass.
@L-Booggie2 ай бұрын
@Ahm-Creative He has 2 skar audio 15 with like 2000 watts. That's why I recommended him to grab a 4 channel and go active or just buy another 2 channel amp and go active. Get rid of the passive x-overs unless he was going to step up the power to keep up with those subs. I told him he might want to get it professionally tuned. I won't touch it because I have no experience. Once my laptop arrives with the op system, I'll install mine, but I'll definitely be getting to know its features and effects to my system before I actually tune. I can't just replace my speakers. My bad I forgot to give major PROPS on the video. I wish I had the work space and time to do an install on that level.
@Ahm-Creative2 ай бұрын
@L-Booggie yeah, you are leading him in the right direction, and a professional tune will take him to a level he never knew he could achieve. Thank you brotha... I'm glad you liked the video. It was short, but his system is CLEAN and very natural sounding.

What kind of vehicle was Paul's install in?

This install is in a Prius. I will be releasing a short demo video from that day, next Friday.

@@Ahm-Creative If you could, can you have him explain if there were any obstacles dealing with the electrical side of the install? I was looking into buying a hybrid or electric car. I haven't gotten serious because I can't live without my system. Every car I own or owned has amplifiers, separates and subs.

@@Ahm-Creative Oh ya, I going to take your advice and use Audison bit nove in my install. I'm going to take out my a/d/s separates and install my MB Quart 3 way but use the a/d/s tweeters. It was supposed to be used in my all a/d/s install in my Benz, but I'm having mechanical problems at the moment, so it's on pause. I wanted my dream a/d/s install in my 05 Mercedes E500 wagon dream car. Mind you , I've never listened to a car with the new DSP technology. Only on KZbin through headphones. I just bought a used laptop with Windows 10 for the software to set it up. I've also been looking at the new D4sound EZY DSP. Reasonably priced with lots of flexibility.
@Ahm-Creative2 ай бұрын
@L-Booggie brotha you've got the ear to recognize good gear... the dsp is going to elevate them above any way you've ever heard them play. A dsp is an absolutely unquestionable game changer! I sit in my, and other SQ cars in awe. The EZDSP is getting nothing but love, so I'm sure it'll serve you well. Like most dsp software, you may be able to download and familiarize yourself with it and others, to see which you like best. I started with the Dayton Audio dsp-408 and the software is very user friendly, then stepped up to the Arc Audio PS8 Pro dsp and I love the Arc DNA software even more. The Helix is cool but I don't like the Alpine, Audio Control or Mosconi software... but you may. They're all free to download and play with.

What does “doors vs kicks” mean
@Ahm-CreativeАй бұрын
@@OGLOC1574 great question. Doors would be keeping your mid bass in the factory door locations, and Kicks would be making custom kick panels or pods to move your mid bass drivers from the doors to the kicks. The reason is for eliminating door rattling and mid bass in the kicks can help with staging your front speakers for better all around cohesiveness.
