1. take a print out of syllabus. ready it as many times as you can. 2.make a common minimum programme for yourself from toppers interviews(50-60 on avg). 3. while reading newspaper(1 hour ) keep internet ready. cover as many topics as you can here since prelims is about width and not depth. 4. start with polity and economy. this will help you understand the newspaper better. 5. don't get attached to any particular subject.wasting time trying to do Ph.D. isn't fruitful. 6. reading less is scoring more.i.e limited sources multiple revisions. helps reproduce knowledge in the exam hall. reading technique - 1st reading go swiftly. then go for related previous year questions. read again. then write condensed notes(100 word text=10 word note) used to listen to RSTV/AIR(no notes). prelims->over time youll have to find your own optimum attempts(95/100 by me). 2 months is sufficient. CA booklets are Very IMP.(80-90 pages took 9-10 hours.end it in 2-3days) complete YOJANA in 1 sitting. make notes out of it. for govt. schemes do read compilations, conc on ministry, finance structure. test series- 50 tests- note down your mistakes on a4 sheet(20-25 sheets near end. it took 2 hours to revise all). MAINS->even if you think u r a borderline case, do not waste more than 3-4 day. TIMETABLE & organisation is must at all stages. ethics- print out course, values..keep 2-3 examples ready for each one(I did 100 answers for ethics. helped with time management). first get some background of subject, then go for lexicon, subbarao.time management is V.IMP. language paper=2-3 days is enough. answer writing= INSIGHTSSECURE initiative was good.tips: for intro start with a data or definition. INTERVIEW= now Depth is necessary rather than width. Every basic thing in DAF. peripheral knowledge of DAF. homestate- history, demographics optional/graduation should be prepared very well. eye contact. clarity of thought. mocks. be yourself. nervousness spoils ur interview.

Those who don't find interest in their respective course at IIT always focus on what really they want ..& they come with flying colours... That's the beauty...you r not bound to study what you r enrolled in..rather you should find your inner calling...we are lucky our system have given us this much flexibility

Q. Tushar, your dad in in such a senior position in army, so did that not motivate you to join the armed forces? A. Mam, army is not just a career option, its a way of life. having been brough up in the army various traits like punctuality, discipline, adaptability have been grained into us since child birth. morever, we've been taught that anyone who does his duty towards motherland with sincerity and devotion is a soldier in their own way., be it uniformed or not. For me a khadan ka majdoor, a teacher etc. are all soldiers. i chose civil services because i believe that itll provide me with maximum oportunity to help serve the underprevileged in our society and i think that is what really counts. this way. expect what can be asked. and prepare it beforehand.

See when you can't provide food for poor people bcoz of shitty politics what's the point in going to Mars... Ok we IIT ians know the importance of research and innovation... Our people doing the best in that field too... IIT is collection of intelligent people.. They chose their own way for development of the country.. Nd there will always be people judging... You know what innovative ability of Iit qualified ias officers has been bringing the change in terms of economy infrastructure... If you think it's politicians.. Then you are absolute wrong in first step... This civil servant may realised his path after knowing that he can't be a scientist.. But we hope that this person.. Could bring the Einsteins and Steve Jobs... Going unrecognized in poverty..
