Well two major issues would need to be addressed. One would be the fact that, according to Guertena/Gallery, she isn’t quite human and can’t leave without replacing someone. One idea that I’ve always liked is that Guertena, assuming that he himself did in fact impart his soul into his art, would act as that ‘human element’ for Mary allowing her to live as a normal person. Why would he do this? Great question. No I don’t have an answer. The other is her umm, murderous tendencies. But I’m sure a good short story arc where she, instead of trying to straight up kill Garry and Ib, is able to explain (or maybe it would be more realistic if Garry and Ib found out before being found by her) about her situation. A good emotional confrontation ought to resolve their issues, she might need a good family to teach her the ways of the world though cough Ibs family cough.

*SPOILER ALERT* I feel sorry for Mary. I mean, the crazy broad kills Garry and everything(In a few of the endings, at least.), and she is creepy as hell in the "Welcome to the World of Guertena" ending, but all she ever wanted was friends and a family. I mean, if you had lived you're entire life in...that place, you would be socially awkward too. Well, I guess the "palette knife" thing is kinda beyond socially awkward, but you can't blame her for being a bit crazy.Again, imagine if you had lived there your whole life... and plus, she was created by Guertena. That bastard must have been really fucked up to have created most of his art, including those mannequins, headless statues, and especially THOSE GODDAMNED DOLLS.

It's been a few years but I'd like to clarify some things. No, not two people need to leave, a place just has to be taken. That's why the ending when Mary gets out herself doesn't work. There's two spots, but one person. And no, she can't sacrifice a manikin head because that's not someone of the real world. That would just hurt her environment. Again, it's been a few years. You might have already known this by now but I commented this just to clear things up.

This is truly an amazing video, I am quite amazed though, how you managed to place in most(?) of the endings, including the one some would favor best (when Garry remembers everything due to bloodied handkerchief and such) but anyways, there must be a English dubbed version of this as well, due to it being so unique and true of what happened within the game depending on one's choices in it.

Mary from Imagination Forest is part of Jin's Kagerou Project thing. Ib and Garry are characters from the game Ib. The Mary that everyone else is talking about is also from the game and is a different person entirely.

IB is basically the name of an RPG horror game, I think. The characters in it are in this version of Heat Haze. The guy is Garry, the girl with brown hair and red rose is Ib (the main character) and the other girl with blonde hair and yellow rose is Mary, a girl that is part of a painting. Wikipedia can give an explanation as to what happens in the game...

There are a few different ending's for this, one is where ib will leave all alone and see a painting of garry but not remember him, another is where ib leave's and mary has also left pretending to be her sister but ib has no memory of the painting world so she believes this, another has garry and ib leave but they have no memory of the painting world so they part way's but the best ending has garry and ib leave and as they part way's garry notices ibs handkerchief and both their memories return.

I think it's more along the lines of her being trapped in there for so long. There's evidence that other people have visited her in the Fabricated World before, and it's likely that she resisted the urge to do away with them at first, but when she figured she had no choice, she gave up and started trying to kill the visitors to take their place. It's implied that those paintings and art are VERY old, at least a century or more. Any young girl trapped in there with no choice would do the same.

Since the explanation (Mary's diary) looked like something players didn't think it was important or could be reacted with at all, most of them overlooked and skipped it. I still feel sorrow for Mary though.

i could see whats happeing, Ib saw how her friend Gary was killed by the yellow girl each time.so Ib was saving Gary but couldn't find a solution without him dieing.and so she thought she had to have herself die for Gary to be safe.but then Gary saw that happening and did the same as Ib. to me,it's like it's continuing over and over again.

Mary is a painting; that is what she is and all she will ever be. A very special painting indeed. But she doesn't have the right to step out of her frame into the real world, and even if Guertana wanted the paintings to have a sense of realness, it was not the intended purpose for them.

Well, I've heard from other sources that the rule of the gallery is that the lives that enter and exit must be balanced. For this reason, if Garry leaves with Ib, Mary is trapped, and if Ib leaves with Mary Garry is trapped. It's allegedly the reason why there is /no/ happy ending for everyone in Ib. Only two people can leave, and both Mary /and/ Garry choose you to leave with-- Garry because you're real and he's maybe grown fond/protective of you, and Mary because she wants a sister.

Games sometimes have multiple endings the player can earn, but there's generally a one ending that's considered the "canon" or "true" ending. This would be Promise of Reunion. There's no need to be written with all the different endings.

Ib happens to be a decision-making game, where you play as Ib, a girl who goes to an art gallery with her parents. Something happens, and all of a sudden, Ib is thrust into a world of art, where she must escape using her wit and surviving the art pieces that've come to life. (: Hope that helps.

Ah, that's because this 'version' of the song is based off of a Japanese pixel-based horror game simply called "Ib". It was made by a producer called Kouri, and it's a horror RPG. It's actually rather complicated; there are several endings, most of which are shown in the video, but there is only one "true end", which is the best possible. *spoilers* ... That end is where both the man (Garry) and Ib escape the gallery and remember it due to the handkerchief and lemon candy. Hope that helps!
