All of the problems that I use in these videos are mostly taken from the IB question bank (problems from past papers) so these types of problems could show up on exams. In my experience, the one like the 2nd problem with simultaneous equations tends to be with arithmetic sequences, but I wanted to show you how to do them with geometric sequences as well... Hi! Thanks so much for these videos, im studying for my finals that are in 4 weeks and these are super helpful. Just one thing, in your last question, part d, no matter how i put it into my calculator (my school uses the TI-nspire cx) i kept getting -118100, and so thus, an overall answer of 29525?

You need to put -3 in brackets so that -3 is raised to the 10th power. If you do not put brackets then it is calculating the OPPOSITE of 3 raised to the 10th power. Always remember to use brackets when subbing a negative number into a formula and you won't run into this problem.

hello i calculated the last exercise and i got 29525 and not -29525 is this a problem ?
