Alan Thao, There are so many woman out there who dress way more provacative then Yasmi such as Britney Spears or Ariana Grande while doing their own music videos. I don't see people criticizing them for what they wear??? Like I stated before, a lot of people don't ever want to see a HMONG WOMAN be successful or support her in what they do. Just because Yasmi is single, has a kid, and can make it on her own doesn't mean she is a slut. She is successful and obviously didn't climb up the ladder like you have stated.

Don't get me wrong, to me Yasmi is one of the best unique Hmong woman vocalist in America. But as a parent, education being top, role model is second and I have daughters too. These meka woman idol are one of the most dirty, nasty, piece of trash, showing off half of their flash, fake boobs, fake face, fake butt, are very indecent. Trying to act like these idiot is one of the most stupid thing, it degrades a person of their intelligence, potential and dignity down to a slut, some thing that man use and then toss. All these negative words towards her is purposely to bring her down, unable to grow, destroying her because we Hmong don't want someone of her image projecting at our daughter. We want our Hmong daughter to grow up to be decent human being. I will support Hmong woman singers that stay natural and not show off too much, there's plenty of young rising Hmong female vocalist star, but this piece of trash will get dump by the side way.

But what you are saying that a woman can't express themselves as they want to? We can only teach our kids so much of what's right from wrong but it is up to them to be who they want to be when they grow older. You are saying that hmong woman have to have an education and be a role model when I know alot of women out there that don't have an education but are the biggest role models. What you are stating is that image matters to you. Image shouldn't matter as people will always criticize no matter what especially in our hmong community. I don't know if you have ever experienced it or know any family members or friends who have experience first hand that regardless if a hard working hmong woman has a degree, working a $65,000 a year job, still continuing to go to school, a mother of 1 or 2 but divorced, they will always get criticized of being a slut, homewrecker, a bad woman to not marry, or just dirty. Honestly, alot of hmong daughters grow up decent. It's in the eye of the outsider or even yourself who has to high of expectations of what a "good daughter" should be. As you stated, woman who have plastic surgery are bad? Remember, getting your braces done is also considered "normal" but to other countries, it is considered just like plastic surgery where you are not keeping your teeth "natural" and having to have metal in your mouth to straighten your teeth. Just my thoughts of our society these days and you should know this very well. You can raise a child as much as you want them to be "good" but it is up to THAT CHILD to learn and grow in their own ways of what's right for them and wrong for them.

Plastic surgery, chopping up the body and especially stuffing plastic inside the skin to make it look bigger or more round should not be accepted by our tiny Hmong community in order to stay as natural as possible and as long as possible to keep the few that will stay natural to the end, because we are at a time of battling fakes - that is where we are heading and fakes are worth less. As for the teeth that is completely different - it is a necessity to eat and stay hidden behind the lip only seen when smiling. Following in the foot step of American women idol we see on TV and music video flashing half naked is indecent and nasty, it turns the person into something completely different; nothing more than a piece of meat dangling in front of guys. I'm sure yourself is worth more than just a piece of meat for guys to chew and spit out right? You are what you display and will be treated like one, thus we do not want people like Yasmi at the top, we need someone with natural beauty, small breast is ok, small butt is ok, small nose is ok, light makeup so we can see the real face, preferable long black hair, doesn't have to be super pretty, just ordinary looking is ok, natural slim or little extra meat is ok as long as not lazy fat, and a great voice. We are all ordinary looking, we want someone that understand this to represent us Hmong, in return this person will make a lot of money from us. And yes education tops everything because intelligence is very important to advance further. Like I said, there are plenty of young stars rising, if these stay true, they got my support and my children's support. As for this old baggage, she chose her path to be dump by the way side to make room for others to move forward.
