Ibanags were one of the major ethnic groups of 16th century Luzon as mentioned by the Spaniards. Sad to see them being smaller in number today and basically replaced by Ilocanos. But it's good that there still Ibanags today who still promote their culture and language, and at least they don't promote lies and fabrications unlike some "cultural advocates" from other ethnic groups.

Thanks Andy. The Spanish brought Cagayan warriors with them when they occupied Northern Taiwan. If only there were records on how they interacted with the natives in Taiwan.

If I remember f,z and v are rare native phonemes in Philippines
@fluffymumu7102
@fluffymumu7102 Жыл бұрын
Yes, f, z, and v are omitted in Central Philippine languages. However, Northern Luzon languages, Danao, Bilic, and Obu languages in the south have retained these phonemes in their respective languages, as these ethnic groups have remained uncolonized throughout Philippine history.

WE ARE FREE AS A BIRD cos we are stronger than the spaniards
@silangangbahagi9267
@silangangbahagi9267 Жыл бұрын
