I bought one of these about 20 years ago and it was one of those guitars that you instantly fall in love with. I just found another one in mint condition that I'm about to buy which is exactly like the first one. I'm a fan of Les Paul style guitars but like a little of the Fender sound as well. For my sound and sound preferences, these Japanese Ibanez guitars are the perfect fit. I absolutely love everything about them and plan to acquire some more before people discover how nice they are and start jacking up the price.

I completely agree. They are just super comfortable to play on and pretty effortless when it comes to intuitive playing. Just great guitars for sure.

I bought mine new in '81 and sold it in 2010. Weighed a ton but ultra low action. Mine had a Duncan Invader in the bridge when I sold it (from my metal days...) Agree with you 100% - tremendous guitar!

Aren't these ar50 supposed to have body, neck and headstock binding?

They added the binding to those models in the early 1980’s
